“So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the word of Christ.” Romans 10:17

Jesus God has promised to be with us each day, to bring us life now and forever, and to love us always. God’s living Word re-minds us of His love and help.

If you are able, the passage could be memorized or put in

a place where it will serve as a reminder during the month.

About how many people will 46 gallons of homemade ice cream feed? Apparently 500 to 700! That’s how many people came to enjoy the Bethany Home ice cream social in August! En-tertainment this year was the Sisters of Hope, seven ladies

from Hope, KS (none of them are real sisters) who provided great entertainment in hab-its. Bill Einfeldt the “balloon man” also put on a great show making balloons for attendees! Some of the residents even got in on the fun.

Ice Cream Social a Success

CEO cont.He also holds an Education

Specialist degree in School Psy-chology. His transition to long term care came in 2001 when he became a Licensed Adult Care Home Administrator. Prior to becoming the CEO of Salem Home, he was the Administrator at Wellsville Manor in Wellsville,

KS and Riverside Plaza (now Res-idence 600) in Salina, KS.

Kris’s wife Farah is a Bethany College Alumni and works at Lindsborg Community Hospi-tal as their Laboratory Director. When asked about his appoint-ment as CEO, Erickson said, “This really is a dream come true.

I have heard wonderful stories about Bethany Home since I became an Administrator, and I have loved Lindsborg since moving here. I’m eager to become more involved with this great community.”

Halloween this year is on Friday. That’s when as many as 300 kids from the Linds-borg community converge on Bethany Home to enjoy the sweet treats handed out by our residents. Money from recy-

cling aluminum cans during the year at the Bethany Home locations helps to purchase the candy for participating ghosts and goblins. It’s a fun time for our residents, for the Lindsborg community, and for all of the kids that look forward to and

participate in the event every year. Happy Halloween from Bethany Home!

A Howling Good Time

At the end of August, members of the communnity, staff, and resident’s family members brought in some very cute guests to Bethany Home. “Bring Your Dog” night was a very successful event with over thirty-seven residents and eleven guests in attendance.
