“Ronatahskats” is a not-for-profit agency
located on the Six Nations Reserve,
Ohsweken Ontario. We support individuals
with intellectual disabilities to live an
inclusive, vibrant life. We do this through day
supports, residential services, and our social
enterprise storefront.
Our social enterprise area is located at 1676
Chiefswood Road which includes our Gift
Shop and Creative Energy Cafe/Ceramics.
We offer a wide array of Pendleton, Carhartt,
Lending Tree gift cards, home-made crafts,
and much more. All proceeds go towards
growing our services and daily activities for
the individuals supported.
It is more than a place to try your hand at
ceramics, purchase holiday treasures, or grab
a great cup of coffee. Our dream for the Gift
Shop and Cafe is to showcase the skills and
abilities that our participants have to our
community. This is their store and with
support they run it with great pride. The
storefront offers an opportunity for the people
supported to connect with the community,
gain real work experience in the retail
industry, learn new skills, strengthen current
skills, enhance customer service abilities,
increase self-esteem, confidence and have
fun. With their enthusiasm and support,
individuals will gain employment within the
community. This is a dream that many in
service are looking for to enhance their life.
It begins with them and with your
participation these dreams will become a
reality.
