Travel and parkingCar – please follow the AA signs and enter by the Westentrance on Cottingham Road (also signpost NewlandSchool for Girls). If you are using a Sat Nav the postcode isHU6 7RU (see map on page 15). Parking is free of charge andyou may use any of the bays, except disabled. Please allow a5 minute walk from the car park to the Arrival Desk.

Rail/Public Transport – the campus is 10 minutes by taxifrom Hull city centre, Bus Service 105 (from stand 20) and103 (from stand 13) stop at the University’s main entrance.

Humberside Airport – For those flying into the airport,there is a regular bus service (the Humber Flyer) to the citycentre. (www.stagecoachbus.com/timetables).

Postgraduate StudyIf you’re thinking of applying for a taught Master’s or PhDprogramme at Hull, do come and visit the PostgraduateStudy stand in Staff House. The University has its own on-campus Graduate School (first opened in 1996) withdedicated quiet study facilities, social and seminar space,and support for research training. The Graduate School runsa wide-ranging Postgraduate Training Scheme, and otherevents during the year to bring graduate students together.

Free Elective SchemeThe Free Elective scheme enables students on mostundergraduate programmes to study one module per yearfrom outside of their home department. From languages andbusiness to health and the environment, the Free Electivesscheme includes a wide range of subjects which willcomplement your main degree programme. Yorkshire Coast Community Rail Partnership (YCCRP)Visitors can travel daily to this region on direct trains from:London Kings Cross, Sheffield, Manchester and York, withlocal connections giving access from Hull to Beverley,Driffield and Bridlington. There are around eight directtrains to/from London and a journey time of under threehours. The region is served by Hull Trains, Northern Rail,First TransPennine Express and East Coast. To find outmore, including how to save 1/3 off travel with the StudentRailcard, come and visit our reps in Staff House.
