Intensifiers

• Intensifier • Amplifies the meaning of the word it modifies.

• In your own writing, I would prefer to not see these!

• Examples: very, quite, really (not real!), almost

• Example: The T-Rex has a really big head and very little arms.

• Example: Lewis is really smart and super cool.

Pronoun Pass• I am going to read a story. Every time I

say a pronoun, you need to pass the paper in your hand. Each paper contains a different prize/punishment. Pass fast and hope you wind up with something good! If you wind up with more than one paper, you are OUT.

• If you get out, you need to practice your spelling words until the game is over.
