11th Annual UCRECC Golf Tournament

On Thursday, September 17th, 2015, the University of Connecticut Real EstateCenter Council held its 11th Annual Golf Tournament at The Golf Club at OxfordGreens in Oxford, CT. The proceeds benefited the Center for Real Estate and UrbanEconomic Studies. The tournament provided a great opportunity for MBA andundergraduate students to interact with real estate professionals from all over theNortheast.

NYC Field Trip

The annual New York Student Field Trip and Alumni Reception will be held onThursday, October 8, 2015. Students, faculty, and staff will be visiting six prominentreal estate firms in New York City. TIAA-CREF will generously provide lunch for thestudents, and the group will then visit DTZ, JP Morgan, Kroll Bond Ratings, RouseProperties, and Silverpeak Real Estate Finance.

24th Annual Commercial Real Estate Conference

The Center for Real Estate, inconjunction with the GreaterHartford Association of Realtors,is hosting the 24th AnnualConnecticut Commercial RealEstate Conference on Thursday,October 1. Registration begins at1:30 pm, followed by the program at 2 pm and a networking reception at 5 pm. Theprogram will focus on "revitalizing urban areas of Hartford". Professor John Glascockand Nick Perna of Webster Bank will present. A markets update will also be given.

Alumni Football/Reception Event

The annual UConn Real Estate Tailgate and Homecoming Football Game will be heldon Saturday, October 17. The Huskies will be taking on the USF Bulls at RentschlerField. The reception will begin two hours prior to game time (TBA).

The Center for Real Estate and Urban Economic Studies has assembled resumes ofinternship candidates and graduating majors in Real Estate as well as other allieddisciplines. Real estate students have or in the process of completing what manyconsider to be one of the best academic real estate programs in the country. 2015 Calendar

September 17, 2015 - 11th Annual Golf Tournament - At Andy Tedford's OxfordGreens Country Club in Oxford, Connecticut. Students will work the event. Approximately 30 teams participate in this fun filled day. Registration starts at 11:00with a barbecue lunch followed by the tee off at 12:30. The evening will conclude witha cocktails, dinner and prizes. October 1, 2015 - 24th Annual Commercial Real Estate Conference - The Centerin conjunction with the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors is planning the Fall

2015 Connecticut Commercial Conference. Registration begins at 1:30 followed bythe program at 2 and a reception of light fare and networking to follow at 5 pm. Theprogram will focus on "revitalizing urban areas of Hartford". Professor John Glascockand Nick Perna of Webster Bank will present. A markets update will also be given.Registration information will be available soon. October 8, 2015 - NYC Fieldtrip/Alumni Reception - Bus will leave Storrs at7:30am and return at 11:00pm. TIAA-Cref will host lunch and students will visit thefollowing companies for the remainder of the afternoon: Rouse Properties, Kroll BondRatings, DTZ, JP Morgan, and Silverpeak. A reception will be held from 6:00 - 8:00p.m. at the Kitano Hotel for students and NYC alumni and friends to be hosted by theReal Estate Center Council. October 17, 2015 - Alumni Football/Reception Event - Homecoming - UConn vs.USF Football game/BBQ at Rentschler Field, East Hartford with pre-game reception2 hours prior to the start of the game. November 9-10, 2015 - 7th Annual Cornell Case Study Competition - Top realestate students participate in this case competition in NYC, to be held Monday andTuesday November 9-10. September - November 2015 - Real Estate Society Events - The Real EstateSociety will hold several social/networking events throughout the semester. Studentsshould watch for real estate society emails for details on these events. TheProfessional Speakers in Classroom events are currently being scheduled.
