NEWSLETTER OF THE GREATER BRIDGEPORT CAMERA CLUB
The Viewfinder 2016 - 2017 Season
Welcome to the Presidents’ Corner!!! Please visit Stratford Library to see GBCC’s Photography
exhibit. It shows the high quality of our images by our
photographers. The library is open Monday through Thursday from 10am to 8pm,
Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm.
For those of you who are new to our club, we just wanted to explain about three
groups that we are involved with. They are PSA, NECCC and CAP. PSA is the
Photographic Society of America. Their website is: http://psa-photo.org/ it is a
worldwide organization for anyone interested in photography. NECCC is the New
England Camera Club Council. It represents all the camera clubs in New England
and holds quarterly competitions for all the clubs. They also sponsor an extensive 3
day conference in July. Their website is www.neccc.org. Finally, CAP is the
Connecticut Association of Photographers. This is a group that promotes seminars
and field trips for its members. Their website is www.capinct. The cost is $8 per
year. If you would like to join please speak to Antoinette. They are sponsoring a
field trip to Vermont on October 15th. All three groups are very helpful in
promoting and learning about photography. Feel free to check out their websites.
Art Vaughn is in charge of NECCC’s Print Competition and will be presenting a
program on the Best of NECCC at our next meeting on October 5th. Please join us
to be inspired by some great images!
Finally, if anyone is interested in joining our field trip committee we are meeting
this Friday at 6pm. Please contact us for more information.
