Member of the Month
Member-of-the-Month is awarded monthly to one member of the SDA and is chosen based on points awarded for participating in SDA events. This year you can earn member-of-the-month points doing many different things. For example, wearing your SDA shirt to the meeting, attending community outreach events, donating to the Guilt Free Snack Shack, attending a fundraising event, or any of the other member-of-the-month earning activities that are announced throughout the
speakers, allows for you
to attend Academy of
Nutrition and Dietetic
conferences, and gives
access to emails about
nutrition related volunteer
and job opportunities! The
SDA is committed to
helping you get your foot
in the door. If you are
planning on applying for a
dietetic internship, the
SDA is here to guide you.
The SDA also provides
excellent leadership
training, and an on-going
membership and
participation looks great
on those dietetic
internship applications. I
highly encourage anyone
who is aspiring to be
involved in the nutrition
world to get involved!

semester – of which there will be plenty! If you earn the most member-of-the-month points in a given month you will be honored at the next meeting and given a certificate. This looks awesome on your resume and internship applications. We also award a member-of-the-semester and member-of-the-year! The member-of-the-semester typically receives a $50 gift certificate and member-of-the-year receives a bicycle! Time to get involved!
