Greenspace and The Nature Conservancy (TNC)have formed a unique partnership to provide edu-cational, docent led public tours on the CambriaCoast Ranch. As you may remember, Greenspacewas honored by TNC at the Cambria Coast Ranch

dedication in thefall of 2000.Since TNCs his-toric purchase ofa conservationeasement onCambria CoastRanch, we haveworked closelyto develop amethod that pro-vides limitedpublic access tothe Cambria

Coast Ranch while protecting the privacy of the land-owner. We have accomplished this by continued

negotiations and attention to detail. We are very proud to report that Greenspace has

contracted with The Nature Conservancy to conductfour docent led tours of the forested section of theCambria Coast Ranch. The free Cambria Walk inthe Woods is with the cooperation of the CambriaCoast Ranch owners, Ralph and Tracy Covell.Greenspace will conduct all of these tours in Octo-ber and November of this year. We are equally ex-cited to announce that we have also formed a part-nership with the Monterey Pine Forest Ecology Co-

operative, a program of the University of CaliforniasGenetic Resources Conservation Program. Found-ing Cooperative Director, Dr. Deborah Rogers,

Greenspace Executive Director,Richard Hawley and Board Di-rector Brad Seek will developeducational material for the toursthat complements each of theirrespective knowledge of the for-est.
