Southern State’s four rural campuses pose many unique com-munication challenges for faculty, staff and students. It is difficult to establish a real-time communica-tion system that can be used for a variety of applications.

Wimba’s Pronto software may hold a solution.

Pronto is more than just an instant message system. The new enhanced Pronto provides many educational applications.

Users can text, as well as use voice, video and application sharing of desktops. Users also can make use of a whiteboard application and group sessions system.

To learn more about Pronto’s significant instructional value, plan to attend the Pronto and Voice Tools demonstration and workshop from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Room

101 at Southern State’s Central Campus.

Visit www.wimba.com/prod-ucts/wimba_pronto/ for more information.

Students can Pronto peers as soon as classes begin. The Class-mates tab is activated from the mo-

ment a student registers for classes. Students also can become a Creator and initiate a group study session, as well as Pronto instructors, librar-ians, help desk and student services.
