Divide up your paper into 7-9 parts (rectangles and squares are fine)
• Vary the sizes of rectangles GREATLY• If you want to throw in a more unusual shape,
surprise us• Think of these as frames. – Are the edges straight? Torn looking? Angled? Thick?
Thin? Implied? Transparent?– You don’t have to use a ruler! Hand drawn straight
edges edges can be very beautiful and have lots of personality!
• Avoid having the biggest frame right in the middle!

Have at least 6 different views
• This will depend on your COMPOSITION plans.• You might need more than 6…• You might not need all 6 later, but you MUST
have at least 6 to start off with.
This is not really a complex object but the painting technique is unusual!

![Page 11: September 13, 2013 First HOME assignment – Multiple View Still Life Journal Break Intro – If time, paint out a page or 2. Glue some pages together…](https://reader035.fdocuments.us/reader035/viewer/2022070401/56649f1d5503460f94c33572/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)

together later)
