President’s/Leaders Conference

It’s hard to believe that not only is the 3rd Quarter coming to a close, but, Summer is now be-hind us and we are closing in on another year.

There are a lot of you sill work-ing hard to achieve your last minute goals and I want you to know that I do appreciate it very much. Each dollar counts. Every app counts. We need to end the quarter strong. The Territory is up against a big week 39 from 2012 of $116,683. Let’s make every effort to not only top that, but to achieve our sales plan. Please be aware of the quarter end processing deadlines that can be found inside this edition of the news-letter.

Did you know it’s your responsibility to be aware of state requirements and be properly licensed and appointed before writing business? Be sure you are following insurance laws before selling our products. To find out more about the laws, visit the home page on Propr.

Fall is in the air. The temperatures are falling fast, however that does-

n’t mean that prospecting should “fall” behind. We all know with the

change of seasons, the weather can be a little tricky, but remember

you can always prospect from the warm comfort of the Territory office.

Bring your team in on one of those spooky Fall like days and make an

afternoon of prospecting out of it. It’s a good way to encourage cama-

raderie. And it’s always more fun and a bit competitive when you are

cold calling/prospecting with your peers.

Guys, and gals, let’s close this quarter with a

Third quarter processing deadlines

Make sure your business is submitted on time

Updated: 09/06/2013

Third quarter processing deadlines

New contract submission -- received by Friday, Sept. 20

The last day to submit completed new producer and new manager con-

tracts to count toward third quarter recruiting goals is Friday, Sept. 20.

For the contract to be considered complete, the new producer or man-

ager must have passed the market conduct test, have a license and

background issues need to be explained, if applicable. We'll process con-

tracts received after Friday, Sept. 20, in the order received, but this

doesn't guarantee processing for third quarter.

Be aware that different jurisdictions have various turnaround times for background checks. For an easier, faster and paperless contracting sys-tem, visit the Online Contracting page on Propr. Review contracts sub-mitted online 24/7 on your online dashboard. Questions? Email [email protected].

Manual business -- received by Tuesday, Sept. 24.

Clean census enrollment files -- received by 6 p.m. Wednesday,

Sept. 25.

Clean electronic business -- received by 6 p.m. ET Friday, Sept. 27.

New business -- will continue to be processed until 7 p.m. Friday,

Sept. 27.

No compensation payment impacts

Make sure you follow insurance laws

You can't sell, solicit or negotiate insurance on behalf of Colonial Life/

Paul Revere (and can't be paid commissions) unless you're properly li-

censed and appointed, where applicable, in the resident or non-resident

state. Learn more about licensing requirements on Propr.

For the third piece of our Life Insurance Awareness Month promotion, I’d like to point to a couple more marketing materials that I think will be helpful. The first is our “Fine Points of Life Insurance” piece that’s available for our sales force to quickly reference the differences between our four life products. The second piece is our new Whole Life 1000 brochure that has a new look and feel and is updated with our revised Whole Life 1000 product information. Also, check out this neat article called 14 Reasons Why Life Insurance is the Best.
