It is always a good idea to

clean marble surfaces immedi-

ately after any spills. Use a

damp cloth, rinse with tepid wa-

ter and be sure to pat the area

dry with a clean cloth.

One way to deal with stains is

simply plain ammonia! Allow

the ammonia to set on the dried

stain for a few moments, then

scrub with a moistened cloth.

Once the stain is gone,

rinse and pat dry!

There are many clean-

ing products available

specifically for marble

- avoid all abrasive

cleaners and those not

specifically designed

More and more people are add-

ing the beauty and variety of

marble stone to their decorating

and remodeling projects. Since

marble is stone, you would think

it indestructible, but in fact this

type of stone can be damaged if

the wrong cleaning agents are

used!

Vacuuming or sweeping away

dirt immediately is the first step.

It is very easy for dirt to be

for marble.

To preserve your marble, peri-

odically treat them with a pol-

ishing agent after cleaning.

Once the polish is in place, you

may want to consider applying

a sealant as a final layer of pro-

tection. Again, make sure that

the products used are specifi-

cally designed for marble.

marble will retain its beauty

and shine for years to come!
