description

in mathematics a topological space is called separable if it contains a sequence of elements, such that every nonempty open subset of the space contains at least one element of the sequence. this piece is based on the perfect 9/1 ratio between the octave flageolet of the violins A string and the cellos open G. this relationship gives birth to a series of short subsets which all spawn from, and retreat to that initial chord.

performance notes:

all strings should be tuned to just intervals using A = 440 (e + 2c, a +- 0, d - 2c, g - 4c, c - 6c).

all justly tuned notes are marked using the Extended Helmholtz-Ellis JI Pitch Notation, developed by Marc Sabat and Wolfgang von Schweinitz. Additional cent marking specify pitch deviation from the respective pitch in Equal Temperment

each stave has a duration of around 15 seconds
