Simple Sentence
A simple sentence has one
subject and one predicate

Compound Sentence
A compound sentence has more
than one part that can stand alone
(independent clauses)
Independent clauses are connected
by coordinating conjunctions,
conjunctive adverbs or a semi-colon.
