Esperanza Center (Moline, Illinois)
Esperanza Bus Stop • Monday – Friday, 6:30 – 7:15am (School Year Only)
Volunteers provide adult supervision and breakfast/activities to elementary and middles school children waiting for the bus to school.
Esperanza Legal Assistance Center • Office Hours: 1-8pm, Monday & Thursday • Work Day: 3-8pm, Tuesdays
Provides immigration legal assistance and advocacy to individuals and families in the Quad Cities and surrounding areas. Focus on low-income clients. Volunteers assist with office operation, including filing, case management, language interpretation/translation, hospitality, and receptionist duties. Foreign language skills not required but helpful.
Floreciente Soccer Club • Spring/Summer Seasons, typically evening hours
Volunteers serves as coaches, mentors, etc. working on basic skills and teamwork in a clinic or weekly practice setup.
Mobile Food Pantry at Esperanza Center • Various dates/times (typically Saturdays)
Throughout the year, we partner with River Bend Food Bank to host a mobile food pantry to provide groceries to individuals and families in need in our community. Each pantry typically needs 40-50 volunteers to assist with loading and unloading of food, hosting our guests as they receive groceries and more.
Thurgood Marshall Learning Center (Rock Island, Illinois)
Food Pantry • 1st & 3rd Thursdays of the month
Provide food and other items to individuals and families of Thurgood Marshall. Pickup at 8am with pantry hours of 12:30-3:00pm.
Teacher-Encouragement Program Provide love and encouragement to a teacher or staff member at Thurgood Marshall through at least one note a month and praying for assigned teacher/staff member.
Kewanee Life Skills Re-Entry Center (Kewanee, Illinois)
Weekly Groups/Classes • Mondays, 6pm
Serve as worship leaders, group leaders, and tech/operations for a weekly service on Monday evenings at the Kewanee Life Skills Re-Entry Center. (Males only.) Need to be able to serve once a month and able to pass an
extensive background check.
Day with Dad Annual Event (Date TBA) Provide volunteer support for annual event of games, food, and more for inmates of Kewanee and their families.
Rock Island County Jail (Rock Island, IL)
Weekly Groups/Classes • Days/Hours vary.
Men and women serve at the Rock Island County Jail in pairs, providing Bible study classes, life skills training and more to those currently being housed at the facility. Schedule varies based on team availability and the jail schedule. Must be able to pass an extensive background check.

Quest for Christ • Mondays, 3pm (during school year)
Afterschool-program that is loving volunteers investing in the lives of elementary students, pointing them to the life-changing power and love of Jesus Christ as they encounter the daily challenges of public school. Quest for Christ is a ministry of One Eighty, a local organization founded in 2009 to bring love, hope and opportunity to people and communities.
Teacher-Encouragement Program Provide love and encouragement to a teacher or staff member at Jefferson Elementary through at least one note a month and praying for assigned teacher/staff member.
Snack Team Wednesday (Once-a-Month) Provides bought or baked treats for the weekly staff meetings at Jefferson Elementary. Whether you provide treats or help deliver them to the school, this gesture of love and care is greatly appreciated and enjoyed by the teachers and staff of the school.
