§ Drop-In Care: Please arrange prior to drop-in with the Summer Camp Director. The full day drop-in rate is $60.00 per day. All drop-in fees must be prepaid. Drop-ins are not allowed on field trip days.

A one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $30.00 per child is due upon registration for the first camp each year. If only the registration fee and a deposit are paid upon registration, the remaining balance for each camp will be processed 1 month after registration or 1 week prior to the start if registrations are made within the month date. Payments will be made with the credit card information you provided. SUMMER CAMP at St. AndrewÊs School reserves the right to cancel any camp due to insufficient enrollment. Many camps have a maximum number of children who can enroll. It is best to enroll your child as soon as possible. Refund Policy: Every effort will be made to offer, and staff courses as described in this brochure. Circumstances can arise that necessitate a change. If a camp is cancelled by the school, the applicant will receive a full refund of the camp fee. If, once a camp has begun, it becomes apparent that the Summer Camp Programs Director has not been made aware of specific medical or emotional needs that cannot be accommodated, or if the child is uncooperative with instructors or staff, or is a detriment to other students, the child can be removed from any current or future camp that he/she may be registered to attend without refund. DAY CAMP FAST FACTS: Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedure

§ Please do not bring your child to any program more than 10 minutes ahead of time. Food, Field Trips, and More

§ Children receive a Day Camp T-shirt to wear on field trips, along with daily morning and afternoon snacks. Field trips are included in the weekly camp fee.

§ A sack lunch and water bottle are needed each day. Lunch is NOT included in the summer program.

§ You will receive a letter from the Summer Camp director providing more details about field trips.

§ Please take note of which specialty camps offer snacks and remind their instructor if your child has food allergies. Be sure to report any allergies when completing the Student Record forms (or if a change has occurred since the 2018-19 school year if your child is a St. AndrewÊs School student).

§ Jenni’s Treats on the Streets will visit the Day Camp every Friday. JenniÊs is a mobile ice cream truck that provides treats for $1, $2, and $3. She does have gluten and sugar-free options for $4.

§ 3 and 4-year olds are asked to bring a crib sheet and blanket for rest time and a change of clothes. The sheet and blanket will be sent home on Fridays for washing.

§ Tennis shoes are to be worn by all children. § On swim days, children should bring a bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen (with their name printed

on the container).

ACADEMIC CAMPS AMERICAN REDCROSS BABYSITTING, CPR, and FIRST AID (Camp 106) June 3-June 7 An experienced and American Red Cross certified instructor will lead the campers through an all-inclusive week of Babysitting, CPR, and First Aid. Instruction will be accomplished through utilization of the online book, discussion, and demonstration. At the end of the week (after passing the CPR and First Aid exam), the camper will be issued an American Red Cross certification card. Note: All campers will receive the American Red Cross Babysitting certification card but only campers passing the exam will receive the combined American Red Cross Babysitting, CPR, and First Aid certification cards. This certification will enable the camper to promote and accept babysitting opportunities with confidence. ASPIRING AUTHORS CREATIVE WRITING (CAMP 305) June 17-June 22 During the week, we will discuss different parts of a story, (rising action, falling action, climax, etc.) as well as the different characters (protagonist, antagonist, etc.). Young writers will be able to create their own story during free write time, as well as create a story from chosen scenarios. During workshop, students will not only have the chance to read aloud their story but collaborate with their peersÊ works as well. The week will be filled with adventure and imagination. Students will be encouraged to think outside the box and create a world of their own mind. Students will be provided with their own journal this week.

A camping-based theme will excite your Pre-K student as we explore to see what beginning skills are covered in the first few weeks of Kindergarten. Reviewing letters and letter sounds, rhyming skills, opposites, Pre-K Dolch sight words, proper letter and number formation, and some number sense fun will be taught through S.T.E.A.M.-based hands-on games and activities. Math concepts such as time, money, fractions, and numeration will also be covered. We will focus on learning new games, they can use to interact with their family and friends. READING ROCKS CAMP I & II (Camp 306 June 17-21) and (Camp 804 July 22-26) Camp 306 K-1st: This week-long camp will offer individualized reading instruction for rising Kindergarten students and students entering the 1st grade. Various reading strategies will be used to facilitate a positive summer reading experience as well as foster a love of reading. Reading skills, phonics review, writersÊ workshop, and reading comprehension will be covered using a hands-on approach. We will also be using „Secret Stories‰- a brain-based reading program that supports those critical phonic skills needed in reading. This camp is hosted by Nancy Morgan – Reading Specialist

Camp 804 2nd-3rd: Take a leap into next school year with Reading and Writing strategies created to help foster a love for Reading. Using an individualized hands-on approach to reading instruction, campers will be building fluency, vocabulary, phonic skills, and comprehension skills. Join us for our 2019 baseball camp at LionÊs Filed on the St. AndrewÊs campus. The camp is open for all students rising Kindergarten to eighth grade. Coach AbramsÊs basketball camps focus on fundamentals and team play, including daily team competition, group instruction, and individual work. Our goal is for each student to improve their skills, acquire a basic knowledge of the game, and to develop a love of the game. Hosted by Shazi Edmonds: Shazi is not simply determined to teach the art of cheerleading, but also respect for teammates, competing gyms, and the global community. Lions soccer coach Blake Seale, with years of experience and success, will be hosting this yearÊs soccer camp. Coach Blake will be teaching basic fundamental soccer skills, passing and heading, striking a ball, ball control, team building, and communication skills in the Elite Soccer Camps. Coach Doug Dixon and Lions staff will teach athletes the fundamentals of football while developing positive character traits and teamwork. SCOOPS LACROSSE CAMP (504) July 1, 2, 3, 5 We teach lacrosse to children between the ages of 4 and 12 by focusing on creating a positive environment that features fun and learning throughout all of the classes. We bring all of the gear to camp including sticks for each player, goals, balls, and other items needed to have a fun and exciting lacrosse practice. Students will develop a passion for playing lacrosse with a focus on having fun while learning. Students will learn how to run with the ball, throw, catch, score and more while playing in small sided lacrosse games. Camp: 504

§ Rising 1st-8th SPORTS PERFORMANCE 360 STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING (Camp 702) July 15-July 19 The Sport Performance 360 camp training program is designed for athletes and individuals striving to improve personal health, mental strength and physical fitness directly on the St. AndrewÊs campus. We provide innovative instructional activities intentionally designed to increase cardiovascular efficiency, agility, balance, strength, power, and coordination. Students will be separated into age groups. The mental training each participant will receive infused within the physical training program will focus on the core ideas of attitude, motivation, goal-setting, managing emotions, and mental imagery. Our mental skill growth promotes the ability to do extraordinary things within all settings. Each athlete will need comfortable clothes, tennis shoes, and a water bottle. Camp 702:

SWEET FEET SOCCER CAMP (Camp 402) June 24-June 28

Sweet Feet is a soccer and movement education program geared towards teaching children using the most innovative methodologies to create a positive learning environment. We educate children between the ages of 3 and 10 within our Sweet Feet Program. The effective learning environment within each program leads participants towards having fun, developing skills, and becoming passionate about participation. We aim to create lifetime learners that appreciate physical activity and

VOLLEYBALL I Beginner/Intermediate (Camp 401) June 24-June 28 Beginner/Intermediate camp: The 2019 SAS Beginner/Intermediate Camp is geared towards girls in grades 2nd-6th and will focus on basic, individual skill development. This camp will give you some exposure to all aspects of the game but will mainly focus on the basic skills that are needed for the first couple years of competition. The atmosphere for this camp will be light and fun and we will incorporate drills and games to prepare you for your upcoming volleyball season. VOLLEYBALL II All DAY ADVANCED (Camp 402) June 17-June 21 THIS IS AN ALL-DAY CAMP HELD FROM 9:00-3:00 Advanced: The 2019 SAS Advanced Volleyball Camp is designed for middle school and high school students wanting to improve their consistency and technique in the fundamentals of volleyball: serving, passing, setting, attacking, defense, and

blocking. This camp is designed for players that have two or more years of experience in a competitive volleyball atmosphere. It will also focus on game play and exposure to the tactical aspects of the game, while also promoting a fun and positive atmosphere. FABULOUS FUN CAMPS AMERICAN GIRL DOLL (Camp 407) June 24- June 28 Have your daughter bring her favorite doll to camp and experience a fun-filled week of American Girl inspired activities. We will enjoy sewing, scavenger hunts, spa day, etiquette, and much more! This camp is designed to encourage girls to design and create freely while also learning about history, character, culture, and new skills. Materials provided. The ART of ETIQUETTE (Camp 503) July 1, 2, 3, 5 This beginning level camp is designed for campers in rising kindergarten through rising 5th grade. The campers will master the proper use of eating implements along with dining skills, introductions, conversation, party etiquette and much more! Thank you notes, telephone and internet skills along with safe usage rules will also be introduced. The camp will wrap up in celebration of the skills mastery by having dinner together and practicing all of their etiquette skills. A service-learning camp for kids who want to make a difference in their community. Service-learning teaches students how to put their individual skills and talents to use while doing fun projects that benefit others. By making community service fun and engaging, students develop a life-long love and appreciation for volunteering. Lionhearts Camp helps little lions become the best citizens they can be.

Come enjoy the great outdoors with, an adventurous group. WeÊll explore the wooded trails on campus while getting dirty, learning, and having fun! Plan to make campfire sÊmores, create and float handmade boats down the creek, build a fort and much more. Bring a water bottle and a light snack each day. Wear cool, comfortable clothing and tennis shoes. You may also want to wear a hat. Please bring a light backpack, sunscreen, bug spray and your enthusiasm!

We will learn of all the different puppets and visit Savannah's famous puppeteer Angela Beasley and her workshop and puppet studio. ItÊs a frenzy⁄ sticky, gooey, lumpy slime. We are hosting it all, so you donÊt have too! Kids who are slime lovers will have a blast trying out all these slime recipes, from edible slime to fluffy foam slime. We will have a ball using our knowledge of science to combine different ingredients to have some icky, gooey fun! You wonÊt want to miss out!

SNAPOLOGY CAMPS I & II (Camp 403 & 405) June 24- June 28 Kindergarten-2nd grade, KinderBots-Children will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors while building drills and magic wands or discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement while building helicopters and robotic dogs, your child is sure to have a great time. 3rd-5th grades, GameBots- Calling all gamers! Have a blast creating robotic games each week while learning about robotics. Students will learn about gear ratio, sensors, programming, and pulleys as they create fun to play games. Whether creating a robotic hockey player or a ring toss, your child is sure to have fun building, learning, and playing. Camp 403: Camp 405:

Join us for more advanced projects which build upon the basics. Learn some new arts and crafts as well. WeÊll have fun learning and exploring. “KNITTING, CROCHETING AND MACRAME, “OH MY!” (Camp 206) June 10- June 14

In crochet camp we will learn the origins of crocheting, the different kinds of yarn and the basic stitches in order to create a beautiful project to end the class. We will take a field trip to JoanneÊs Fabrics or Michaels to choose our yarn. In embroidery camp the different stitches will be used, as well as learning to use a hoop and create a pillow. LEARN TO SEW! (Camp 501) July 1, 2, 3, 5

Sewing camp will begin with learning how to utilize a sewing machine. We will learn how to read the instructions as well as how to read and cut out a pattern, along with the proper techniques of pinning, cutting and manipulating the material in order to create a wonderful individualized project. It may be a piece of clothing, a tote, a stuffed animal or some other type of project that may interest the beginner. A field trip will be taken to the fabric store to purchase our supplies. WeÊll create unique photo crafts ranging from book marks to collage letters, participate in daily photo challenges, photo scavenger hunts and more! PAPER MACHE CREATURES (Camp 605) July 8-July 12 Design one-of-a-kind sculptures of magical creatures using paper Mache and recycled objects. Use your imagination to sculpt creatures that could fly, glide, swim, or soar. Let them out of your mind as we create and explore. Wear clothing that can get messy and bring your imagination! RISING STARS THEATRE CAMPS I & II, (Camp 703 July 15-19, Camp 803 July 22-26) This camp is for students who are interested in auditioning for the upcoming Rising Stars musical in the fall and would like to learn more about the musical theatre world. During the week, we will learn the basics of musical theatre including acting, singing, dancing, and much more. Through games and activities, students will develop the skills that will help them have a successful audition and productive rehearsals. While students are encouraged to attend this camp, it is not required for the auditions. Students will want to wear comfortable clothes and shoes as there will be some movement and dance.
