W e all face many changes throughout our lives. We change; our environmentchanges; new challenges appear and old
values are challenged. The First Letter of Peterteaches some important principles about how tonavigate change as a Christian – where we needflexibility and where we must stand firm. As weexamine its teaching we shall find ourselvesstrengthened and stimulated by its radicallydifferent perspective.
Wednesday morning will feature ‘Praxis’ workshops – practical ‘how to’ sessions covering issues in thisseason of life including: changing family dynamics, biblical advocacy, financial planning and stewardship, later life theological training and social media forministry.
This conference is for senior clinicians who areretired or approaching retirement in the next fiveyears, as well as senior clinicians thinking of steppingdown in some way in their current roles.

SEMINARS
Doing what only you can doGone are the days when global mission meant going long-term early in your career. Now opportunities abound totravel short (and long) term in the later years of life. Howcan you get involved? What experiences might you sharewith others? How might you encourage the next generationto keep global mission at the forefront of their hearts andminds?
The most productive decade of your life?People speak of the later years of life being the culminationof the accumulated wisdom, training and gifts discoveredover years. Indeed, your 60s (closely followed by the 50s)are supposed to be your most productive decade! But whatdoes this look like when you’re considering cutting back orstopping work? What specific doors are open to you as aChristian with your medical training? Come and hear aboutopportunities and share what’s on your heart with others.
SPEAKERBrian Hopkins, an inner-city GPin Sheffield for years, is now ina new phase, working part-timewith renewed energy andpassion for CMF and PRIMEwhilst deepening friendships.
The past is the gateway to the future, not the obstacleMany people look forward to retirement and change of pacein later life. For some of us things are more complex. Failure, unfulfilled dreams and disappointments cast a shadow overthe future. In this seminar, we will be exploring how weinterpret our past in the light of God’s Word to discover hisplans for renewed fruitfulness.

What pastoralneeds do we have at the end of our careers and how are theybest met? What can I do to help others and give them thebenefit of life experience?
