• First time that I was completely on my own• Great learning experience :– Maturing Experience– Pushed myself beyond my comfort zone• Met people all over the word

Other Learning Opportunities

• Chose to go to the Elephant Nature Park for my GCW choice

• Again, I was deeply impacted by the stories of the elephant abuse

• Returning in June for one month to volunteer and shadow the park’s veterinarians

What This Has done For Me

• I have realized how powerful language is• How effective it can be in communicating

what can be done to help• In the beginning I had no idea about what was

happening to these animals– Through language, I have heard their stories and

have learned about what I could do to help.
