Wrote outline for book

Today, I put down all of my brainstorming into a workable and logical plotline. I think this will be easier than I thought to have a long enough book.

I have to come back tomorrow to finish, and I hope I get a few more ideas so I do not get stuck as much as I did today.

Finished outline for book

I really like the story I have come up with. I hope it turns out as well as I feel like it will after getting the whole story down.

I think when I start writing I will use all my plotlines but I might switch up the order or throw in an extra scene here or there.

Sept. 3rd, 20119pm – 12am

Began writing book

I began writing my story today. The plotline I did last week really helped me keep my thoughts organized with all of the jumping back and forth between the two characters.

I will definitely continue using the outline and try to work on writing every day in the week until the book is complete.

I finished part one of my book this week. I did not really hit any places where I got stuck, but I am a little worried about that for the sections I still have to write. My outline was most detailed for the beginning and now I am worried that I did not focus enough on the latter parts.

I will try to brainstorm more for future parts and continue working on it as often as possible.

I was not able to get as much done this week because I did not have time. I got through the rest of part two and am beginning part three.

I need to work more on my book so I can get it done. I have plenty of ideas and need to write them down before I forget them.

I worked a lot today. I got through part three and half of part four. It was a lot of work but I “got in the zone” so to speak and could not stop. I felt really inspired. I also feel better about how my actual product will come out now.

I need to have another day like this so I can finish my book!

I am almost done with my novel. All I have left to write is the epilogue. I really liked how it came together, and I think it will be great.

I need to finish up the novel and begin editing ASAP.

Oct. 3rd

I am extremely excited to be done writing the first draft of my novel. It was easier than I thought, and I really like the way it ended.

I need to edit as often as possible so I can move this project along.

Began editing my novel

In these past two days, I went through my book carefully. I used this first read through to fix any grammatical or spelling errors. This was more of a technical edit.

When I do my next read through, I will focus more heavily on the style and actual content of the novel instead of just the

In this editing session, I had to rewrite some passages. I did not like how they sounded and had to fix them so they had the appropriate effect.

This editing took longer, and I am not even done with this read through. I have to try to find more time through the week to finish this.

Oct. 17th – 21st

Finished up second read through and edit of my book

Getting through this editing process was very difficult. I do not like rereading my work because I am overly critical. I felt like I rewrote a lot of the original content. I wrote most of the passages weeks ago, so it was hard to remember exactly what I was trying to say.

In my final read through, I have to take an objective audience member view. I have to see how the reader would feel after reading the novel to see if it was effective and entertaining.

Oct. 23rd

12pm – 4pmFinished my final edit of the book

I read through my book as an objective reader, and I think my novel is wonderful. I really enjoyed it and think other people will too.

I have to send it to get copyrighted quickly so that I will be able to give it to Mr. Tamanini for final edits.

Oct. 30th Got my book copyrighted

This process was relatively painless. I just uploaded my novel to the copyright database and got it approved. The copyright is perfect because it protects my intellectual property, but it allows for small edits. This is definitely necessary for me because I still need to send my novel to my project facilitator.

I need to get Tamanini to edit my novel so I can begin the publishing process.

difficult to decide what I wanted to do and sometimes I had to adjust what I wanted based on my capabilities with the programs I was working with. I love how it turned out though.

Nov. 8th Emailed my novel to Mr. Tamanini

I have to wait until Mr. T. gets done editing my novel to do anymore work. I hope he likes it and does not want to change too much.

He said he will give it back to me ASAP so I can begin publishing.

Nov. 14th Got my novel back with all of Tamanini’s edits

He said he did not like or understand some of the transitions between the viewpoints of the two sisters, but he said that it was just a personal preference. Other than stylistic preferences, he did not find any other problems with my novel. I probably will not change anything except for some small wording.

This was really interesting because I had to stand my ground and explain my meaning behind my work. It was strange to get input from a third party directly. I enjoyed it, though, because I got feedback and was able to defend my work.

Nov. 22nd -26th

Reformatted and reconfigured my novel for the program I need to be able to upload

This was definitely frustrating because there were so many technical difficulties that I had to figure out how to fix by myself. It was challenging, but I was finally able to get the program to behave and present my novel the way it needed to be presented.

I need to finish up a few things, and then, I will be ready to publish.

Nov 27th Published my book on Amazon.com

I finally got my book uploaded to Amazon.com. Now, people can buy it, and I can begin making sales. Hopefully, they will
