TESTIMONIALS

The photography team from Peachtree Portraits made my daughter’s senior session very special. They were very patient and paid attention to small details in each sitting. They allowed her plenty of time to change and treated her as if she were the only one there. We received the proofs and the quality of the images was excellent.

-Brenda Ward (Camille’s Mom)

This is my second senior portrait experience with Peachtree Portraits. I have received excellent customer service and beautiful proofs and portraits on both occasions. I also needed additional portraits almost 2 years after the first portraits were taken and ordering again online was very easy. Again, I received excellent quality portraits and excellent customer service! I look forward to doing business with Peachtree Portraits in the future, I have one more senior to go!!

-Lynn Forte (Benjamin’s Mom)

Peachtree Portraits have been professional from the beginning to the end. The process to make the appointment was simple and straightforward. The photographer was patient and helpful in setting up and staging the different poses. We had so many difficult decisions to make from the different proofs because everything looked so good. The photography was excellent and we are so happy with the results. The process to pick the different pictures was simple and we are excited to get the final product.

-Jim Reed (Margaret’s Dad)

Addie had a great experience with Peachtree Portraits. She had to reschedule twice and your customer service group was very understanding. Fortunately there were plenty of date options. Addie was surprised by how much time she had during the session and said the photographer was fun to work with. Her proofs looked great and it was tough to find our favorite picture. It was helpful to have both the online and actual photo proofs to choose from. We could have ordered all of them! Thank you for a pleasant experience from start to finish.

HOW TO SCHEDULE YOUR SENIOR PORTRAIT SESSION:

18

Every senior will need to schedule an appointment before the school year begins. Please plan your time accordingly in order to make this important photography session as easy and convenient as possible.

Your sitting fee is due online the day you schedule your portrait session. This includes both formal and casual poses. The formal portrait will be the one used by the yearbook.

To schedule your senior portrait session, please go online to www.peachtreeportraits.com. Once you have reached the website, click on School Spirit, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on Schedule Now. Select your school and follow the prompts. Select your Portrait Type, Date & Time. You will then be asked to create an account if you are new to the scheduling system. Follow the instructions, pay for your sitting, click continue and print your confirmation.

Please allow a minimum of 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours, depending on how many outfits you bring.

All students will receive a set of proofs within 4-6 weeks of the photo session. At that time, you can order your senior portrait packages and go online to make your yearbook selection. The yearbook pose selection deadline is September 1st. After that time our staff will select the pose to meet yearbook deadlines.

PREPARING FOR YOUR SITTING

This is a chance of a lifetime! You are an individual with a chance to show it. Every senior will have their own exceptionally unique experience because the personal items that you bring will show off who you are. We encourage each senior to bring accessories for any and all extra-curricular activities; letter jacket, sports gear, musical instrument, honors awards and even a favorite pet are great for variety and fun. Clothing is another way to show the real you; bring as many items as you can carry!

Formals

Ladies; Bring a strapless or spaghetti strap top to wear under the formal drape. Men; Bring a white T-shirt to wear under the pleated tuxedo shirt.

Do’s and Don’ts for a great Senior SittingThe following is a guideline to help you look your best. • A good night’s sleep is the #1 thing you can do for a great senior

portrait. This will minimize dark circles and keep you upbeat for posing. Make sure to get plenty of rest.

• Water and a light meal prior to the sitting is a great idea to help keep your mind on having fun.

• Solid colors work best! Avoid large patterns, especially stripes. • Darker jeans and darker colored shirts are the most slimming.• If possible, get some color. Airbrush tans (done by a professional)

are the safest and most effective. Make sure to avoid sunburn or excessive tanning as well as tan lines from caps or sunglasses.

• If you wear glasses, wear them in your photos! We’ll make sure to get a couple without for variety if you want.

• Do not try a new style of hair right before your portrait sitting. If you need a trim, make sure to get it a week or two before your appointment.

• Boys, make sure to keep your beard and/or mustache neatly trimmed.

• Ladies, remember that your hands and feet will be in some of the photos, so make sure to apply fresh polish.

• Wear your makeup just a touch stronger than normal, especially your mascara to make your eyes pop.

• Bring a brush, comb and make-up to freshen up between clothing changes.

1. Little Black Dress; You can't get through life without your little black dress. Choose a classic silhouette that has a bit of detail to keep the style modern.

2. Lace; Lace dresses are often either conservative or over the top, but these strike a lovelybalance. Playful colors counter the tradition of the lace, creating a fun attitude that’s anything but stodgy.

3. Pointed heel; Pointed heels are universally fashionable. Investing in a pair of these can save a lot of headache later when you’re getting ready. Pointed heels add style and classiness to any outfit. Whether you’re going to a job interview, or getting lunch with friends, these shoes will come in handy.

4. The Leather Jacket; If you don’t have one of these, you may want to think about investing in one: It’s a no-brainer for those chilly nights out when your other toppers just don’t feel fun enough.5. Skinny Jeans; Jeans have forever been a trendy favorite. Jeans became extremely popular in the 1950s, varying from skinny, slim, flare, and boot cut. However, the most popular one that many people prefer are the skinny jeans because of the tight fit. Skinny jeans are perfect for showing off your shape and your shoes. 6. Converse; Converse has been around for longer than we’ve been alive—since 1908 to be exact—and since then, they’ve transcended “types,” having shown up on rappers, punks, basketball players, rebels, grunge-sters, and fashion lovers. They’re one of the few sneakers styles that look just as rad when they’re brand new or have years of wear and tear.

7. The Simple White Tee; The classic white T-shirt is a timeless fashion trend because you can never go wrong with it. White T-shirts are especially useful for placing underneath other shirts like a button-up.8. Flannels; Flannel is one of those classic, timeless pieces that almost everyone owns. This piece is perfect when you want to be comfortable, yet presentable. Flannels can be worn open, buttoned up, and lately, around the waist. They add a hip and grungy feel to any simple outfit.

9. Khaki Chinos; Khaki chinos deserve better than the faint ridicule they’ve received. Naturally, the “I’m a PC” guy wears them—saggy, baggy, dorky ones. But the new khakis balance comfort with style. Since it’s a piece that can work casually and in dressier situ-ations, look for a trim fit that’s not rock-star denim tight. Think something like a slim-straight, yet in chino form.

10. Aviator sunglasses; These sunglasses have been around since 1936. They were originally made for pilots to protect their eyes but gradually became more popular with other types of consumers. Aviators don’t have to only be worn when it’s sunny outside; they are so versitile that they can be a nice accessory piece to your everyday look.

11. Bomber jacket; Bomber jackets are here to stay. They were initially created for military pilots beginning in World War I. These jackets have maintained their edginess through the years. They can be worn with jeans, shorts, dresses, sneakers, heels or pretty much anything. If you ever need to add extra flare to your outfit, bomber jackets are the way to go.
