The College Selection Process - Transcripts

➢ SENIORS: Must use Naviance Student to request transcripts for colleges -----→ As Naviance is the fastest and most reliable method for RHS to send transcripts, school profile, and LOR’s.

➢ Your semester transcript, which includes GPA and Class Rank, will be sent to all colleges you have applied to in the middle of February.

➢ Colleges will see the mid-year grades and take into consideration any grades that have fallen substantially! (Acceptance is conditional and may be revoked)

➢ Students are responsible for requesting/sending SAT/ACT scores➢ SAT Subject Tests-Check with colleges to which you have applied to see

if these are required and crucial for placement.➢ Final transcripts are only sent to the college or university that YOU

select in your Senior Survey.

What the Locker IS:➢ A free tool, fully owned and controlled by a student. A private place

upload important items, such as papers, videos, and photos, as a record of their high school experience; this cloud-based Locker becomes the foundation of their application to Coalition schools.

➢ Access to the Locker and its contents are controlled by the student.

➢ A tool to help engage students in the college preparation process at the appropriate time. This will help students develop aspirations, self-awareness, and habits of reflection.

➢ A free space for school counselors and mentors to engage with their students, gauge their progress, provide advice on required courses, and advise on application steps.

➢ Students have access to a collection of helpful and informative articles, checklists, and printables on the subject of applying to colleges, many authored by admissions experts.
