about the jobIdeally you will be a self-starting, adaptable team player with a sense of humour, a curiosity to learn, and an ability to build great relationships with colleagues and clients.

You will be a forward thinker who can review current strategies to ensure they complement the client’s business and objectives, developing relevant and integrated strategies and campaigns across the full spectrum of marketing and communications.

As our new senior account manager you will:

1. Provide effective advice and consultancy by sustaining regular contact with clients through an on-site presence, email and phone

2. Proactively seek out opportunities to meet and exceed income targets 3. Prepare proposals and ideas papers for potential projects, including costs, workplans and timetables4. Generate, edit and manage content for print, online and digital platforms, including newsletters,

ezines, blogs, social media feeds, magazines, information leaflets, annual reports, case studies, display material, films, animations and websites

5. Provide a proactive media relations service to clients, developing and maintaining good links with key regional, national and trade journalists, seeking out media opportunities, selling in stories and providing or advising on a timely and effective use of social media

6. Provide crisis management advice and support to clients, and handle journalist enquiries in a timely and effective way

7. Manage activity through our creative studio, working collaboratively with our designers and illustrators.

our perfect candidateThe key qualities, skills and experience we’re looking for in our ideal candidate are:

Essential skills and experience:

� At least two years’ experience in a PR, marketing or related environment

� Client, customer or account management experience in an agency environment

� Excellent communication skills - face-to-face, in writing and by phone � Solid understanding of PR and marketing methodologies and practice, including social media

� Able to research and analyse information effi ciently and get to grips with new subjects quickly

� Strong story-telling and messaging skills to engage and excite audiences

� Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

� Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills � Strong project and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects

� A dedication to customer service and client satisfaction � Creativity and initiative to identify and develop PR, marketing and new business opportunities.

Desirable skills and experience:

� Delivering communications consultancy for not-for-profi t, public or third sector clients, with a special interest in the housing sector

� Portfolio of up-to-date media relationships � Experience of managing design and digital projects from initial concept to fi nal delivery

� A degree in a relevant subject or other appropriate PR or marketing qualifi cation (for example, CIPR/CIM)

� Experience of generating new business from existing or new clients, producing proposals and presenting at pitches

� Able to design and deliver strategic communication projects to support clients’ objectives.
