In June 2013, Senate Democrats Up For Re-Election In 2014 Touted To The AssociatedPressHow They Were Far From Reversing Course And Actually Reaffirming TheirSupport For ObamaCare. Far from reversing course, Senate Democrats who backed PresidentBarack Obama's health care law and now face re-election in GOP-leaning states are reaffirming up

their support for the overhaul even as Republicans intensify their criticism. (Bill Barrow, Senate Dems' AnswerOn Health Care: Go On Offense,The Associated Press, 6/15/13)

In June 2013, Senate Democrats Made It A Point That They Arent ApologizingFor Their Vote For ObamaCare And Are Pursuing An Aggressive Strategy ToEmbrace The Law And Help Voters Use It. Mark Begich of Alaska, Mark Pryor ofArkansas, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana and Kay Hagan of North Carolina will face voters in2014 for the first time since voting for the Affordable Care Act also known as Obamacarethree years ago. They aren't apologizing for their vote, and several are pursuing an aggressivestrategy: Embrace the law, help voters use it and fix what doesn't work. Shaheens letter today and support the common sense idea to extend the date for open enrollment. Ibelieve, given the technical issues, it makes sense to extend the time for people to sign up. In additionthe Administration should state clearly how the enforcement mechanism will work if people cant signup in time. We all want to see the law work, and I hope the Administration will take a hard look atthis reasonable suggestion. (Sen. Mark Pryor, Statement by Senator Mark Pryor On Affordable Care Act Signup Extension,PressRelease, 10/23/13)

    Pryor Previously Opposed Delaying ObamaCare

But 9 Days Ago, Pryor Said That He Opposes Delaying ObamaCare

On October 15, 2013, Pryor Said On The Daily Rundown That He Was Opposed To AOne Year Delay On The Individual Mandate. TODD: Very quickly, health care will be a bigpart of Tom Cotton's campaign against you. Would you be in favor of a one-year delay in theindividual mandate? SEN. PRYOR: Im not in favor of that. I think if you look at what Arkansas did,

we have a Democratic governor, Republican legislature. They came together in a bipartisan way dothe Medicaid expansion in our state using private insurance. They call it the private option. TODD:What do you say to the fairness argument that big business gets a delay but individuals don't? SEN.PRYOR: In my state we're about to have maybe as many as 500,000 people either through theexchanges or through the Medicaid expansion, and by the way that's one-sixth of our state populationOne out of six people could have private insurance come January.(MSNBCs The Daily Rundown, 10/15/13)

In August 2013, Pryor Said That He Does Not Support Delaying The IndividualMandate. QUESTION: Do you support delaying the individual mandate in ObamaCare? PRYOR: Idont. I think we should look, there are a lot of things in ObamaCare that are going to need fixing. And um, but I do think you cant just kick some of this down the road. If youre going to have healthcare reform, you need to have health care reform. (Sen. Mark Pryor, Remarks At Rotary Club, Rogers, AR, 8/13/13)

On August 27, 2013, Hagan Said There Are A Lot Of Positives For Small Businesses InObamaCare When The Exchanges Come Online.HAGAN: First I want to ask the question, how large is your small business? If its fifty employees or less, the new Affordable Care Act doesntapply to you at all. So thats off the equation. But what does benefit a small business is once the newhealthcare exchanges come on line, and come on the market, coming in October of this year, smallbusiness will be able to purchase health insurance just like large businesses do. Theyll be givenoptions. And some small businesses will actually be eligible for tax credits and for funding to helpthem purchase that health insurance. So I think theres a lot of positives here that I want to encourage

small businesses to reach out to my office and we can certainly help with information. (Kay Hagan,WCCBInterview, 8/27/13)

I think just this week we saw that there were certain items that needed to betweaked and that was the item having to do with the filing of the 1099s to take some of thatburdensome paperwork off of small business which the Senate just passed. So I think thats the kindof tweaking that needed to be done. (CNBCs Squawk Box, 2/4/11)
