MHWirth’s cost-efficient drilling packages for semi-submersibles can fit to any type of hull. With our RamRig™ design, they perform in a large number of operations worldwide.
Our award-winning cylinder-based rigs, also known as the RamRig™ solution, have shown their excellence for three decades. The highly flexible RamRig™ hoisting system has proven to be robust in worldwide operations in harsh and cold climates, as well as in tropical areas.
Our latest RamRig™ hoisting system is a smart solution towards a greener drilling concept:■ 60% less installed power, reducing CAPEX consider-
ably with regards to power and the RamRig™ system itself
■ Reduced power consumption through accumulators■ Regeneration of power via the hydraulic power unit
(HPU)■ Optional hydraulic power generator to feed into a
hybrid drive line
Additional RamRig™ benefits■ Efficient operations through high speed by gearing and
power boost from accumulators■ Highly accurate active/passive compensation, inte-
grated in the hoisting cylinders ■ Power independent passive compensation for maxi-
mum operational safety■ No deadline compensator■ Low maintenance cost (no cut and slip, no brakes)■ Low noise emission■ Very safe operation. Load hoisting and lowering is
controlled solely by the closed loop hydraulics, without any mechanical brakes and clutches
MHWirth’s rig packages can fit all market leading hull designs and have a strong focus on efficient operations, material handling and simultaneous operations to reduce flat spots and redundant designs. Our packages are designed for digital operations with open networks for easy integra-tion of third party systems and future developments. Various derrick sizes, configurations and capacities are available, de-pending on the hull design and your functional requirements.
