There are thousands of search engines on the Internet.
However, almost all of the major ones use the same four databases!
What is SEO?
The process of editing and organizing the content on a webpage or across a website to increase its potential relevance to specific keywords on specific search engines
The most important thing you can do to improve your ranking is to create UNIQUE content on the Internet.
Write articles on your website.
Write articles on OTHER websites, blogs, social networking sites. INCLUDE A LINK BACK TO YOUR SITE.
PageRank is largely determined by checking how many OTHER websites link back to your site. Think of a link as “casting a vote”.
The more credible websites that you can convince to link back to your site, the better your site will rank.
Links on sites that already have high PageRank are considered more “credible” sources. These will generally help your own ranking.
Links from suspicious or low-ranking sites with may have a negative ranking affect.
Be VERY careful when ASKING for links from other websites…do your research. And, this same rule applies when you choose to LINK to other sites. Only link to credible sources.
