1. Application Management

1) My Applications

A. Application Status

You can view the All/Registration/Rejected status for each application.

① You can search applications by status, content ID, or application title.

② If you click the status of a stage, the details page for the application or the page for

registration/modification will open.

③ Chinese sellers currently undergoing identification verification and those who were

rejected cannot register new applications. They cannot update their applications while

the status is Registering or Re-Registering either.

④ The total number of all applications is displayed.

⑤ Click the ‘Question Mark’ icon on the application title, and go to [My Q&A Support] to

send your question to the administrator.

⑥ When you click Last updated, you can check the application's status change history.

⑦ You can delete an application under registration by clicking the [Delete] button.

However, if the completion status remains 'Pre-Certification' after completing the

registration, applications set to this status cannot be deleted.

⑧ You can click the Registration/Rejected tab to view applications only in the respective

status.

B. Applications for Sale

① The type and description for ‘Sale’ for applications are as follows.

For Sale Application is registered normally and being sold.

Suspended Sales has been temporarily suspended by the

administrator.

Application sale is suspended because Selling Ends of

applications was overdue.

Ready for change Application information is being modified.

- When the change is approved, the status changes to

'For sale'.

② You can click the [Suspension] button and enter a reason for the suspension in the

‘Suspension’ pop-up window to stop the sales.

③ If the application is part of a promotion or discount promotion in app store or Kids

store, you can suspend the sale of the application. When you suspend sale, the

promotion will be automatically terminated.

④ If you want to suspend an application in ‘Ready for change’, first delete the

application being updated.

⑤ If sale has been suspended by the administrator, you can click the message icon to

view the reason or edit the application. Also, you can click the [Go to Support] button

to inquire about the suspension.

⑥ By clicking [Termination] button, you can terminate the application after providing a

reason on 'Termination Comment' pop-up window.

⑦ Once sales of the application have been ended, it is permanently deleted from the

'On Sale' list, and cannot be restored. The application title and the App ID of the

application you have deleted can be reused.

⑧ You can change the price of an application by clicking the 'Price Change' icon. When

the application is of an application by clicking change the price click either an icon ([$])

or the [Price change] button on detailed application information page. You can

instantly change the price on the 'Price change' popup without an approval process.

However, if the application is listed as either on or pending Discounts, its price cannot

be changed.

C. Application Being Certified

① The Certification status can be either Pre-review, Content Review, Device Test, or

Confirmation. If an application does not pass one of the certification stages, ‘Rejected’

will be displayed.

② An application currently in the approval process can be canceled by clicking the

[Cancel] button. If the application approval process is canceled, the application

becomes available for re-registration.

③ When an application certification is ‘rejected’, you can click the message icon to view

the rejection reason and inquire about the details or click [Re-register application] to

modify the details for registration.

④ When modifying an application, you must use the same App ID. However when you

delete and re-register the application, you do not have to use the same App ID. Also,

the App ID of an application deleted by another seller can be reused.

⑤ You can delete a rejected application by clicking the [Delete] button.

⑥ If an administrator entered a note during the certification, a message icon appears on

the certification status and you can click the icon to view the message in a pop-up

window.

⑦ In 'Ready for Sale', if there is a recommendation by the certification team, a message

icon appears and you can click the icon to view the details in a pop-up window.

⑧ You can display and sell your application as soon as it has been approved by clicking

the [Release] button (It takes a maximum of 24 hours). In this case, the first sales

date will be changed to the next day of the [Release] button is clicked. The [!] icon

appears in cases where the application has not been released after the sales start

date because an error was found in the application information, the sales start date

has been set but the application has not been released because the sales start date

has not yet arrived, or an item group set for the application with the same App ID has

been revised and thus all applications have not been certified. You can click the [!]

icon to view the pop-up window which shows the reason for the delay.

2) Application Pass Stage

Applications to be sold as in Samsung Apps go through our approval procedure to ensure

that they conform to our sales policy, that they are not objectionable, and that there are no

errors when running on selected devices. ‘Applications > My Application > In Certification’

for an application to be accepted, it must go through four stages of evaluation: Pre-review,

Content Review, Device Test, and Confirmation. You may check the status of the

screening at ‘Applications > My Application’ The results of the screening will also be sent

via email.

① Pre-review

This stage involves a careful evaluation of the information inputted when registering for

the site.

② Content Review

This step is to approve the content of an App. Factors such as whether or not the

content is objectionable, any age restrictions, illegal content and other areas of

concern are examined. All applications sold on Samsung Apps must undergo this

Content Review, which is free of charge. If there is a problem regarding copyright after

an application is approved, that App may be deleted.

③ Device Test

This step is to test if the application runs without error on the device selected by the

seller.

④ Confirmation

This is the final step to verify the application approval results.

3) Update Application

① Click the status of the application or the [Update] button.

② In My Application, if an application is ‘For Sale’ or ‘Suspended’, you can click the

[Update application] button in the upper-right of the application details page.

③ However, if the application is under revision, suspended, or listed as either on or

pending Discounts, it cannot be modified.

④ If the application is part of a promotion in app store or Kids store, you can update the

application. If you remove the country or device information when updating an

application, the promotion currently running on for the removed country or device will

be automatically terminated.

⑤ If the application is part of a discount promotion, you can update it, however, you

cannot change the Country & Price. If you remove device information when updating

an application, the promotion currently running on that device will be automatically

terminated.

⑥ Application updating is the same as that of application registration.

⑦ Depending on what information is modified, an additional cost may be charged for

device testing or a re-approval step may be necessary. However, testing is free

during our special promotion period.

⑧ After updating the application, the finished product will restart.

⑨ Price information for paid applications can be modified without an additional approval

process.

4) Widget ID Management

Widget ID Management is used to issue Widget IDs, which are managed by the system to

guarantee uniqueness and avoid duplication. The Widget ID must be added to the

Widget’s config.xml and entered into the Widget ID input field during Widget registration.

① Click 'Application > Widget ID' menu.

② Click [Issue Widget ID] button at the top of the screen and register widget ID. You

can enter the registered widget ID while registering application.

5) Buyer Comments

You can manage the buyer's ratings for the application.

① Buyers may enter their comments for an app

② Navigate to Buyer Support > Buyer Comments.

③ You may respond to buyer comments

④ Leave comments by clicking [Send], comments are instantaneously shown in the

buyer`s channel.

2. Promotion Management

1) Discounts

You can register and manage the discount information to sell an application at a

discounted price.

A. Discounts Status

You can check the application discount details registered by the seller.

① Click the menu to access the Discounts Status page.

② Click [Add New Discount] to open the page for registering a new application discount.

③ You can search the currently registered discounted (currently being discounted)

applications by status, device or title.

④ The number of registered application discounts is displayed.

⑤ You can see the details of the registered discount by clicking ‘Application Title’.

⑥ You can check the current status (Waiting, Ongoing or Ended) of the registered

application discount.

⑦ If the status is ‘Waiting’ or ‘Ended’, a checkbox to delete the item is enabled.

B. Add New Discount

You can register a new discount for each application.

① Click [Search Application] to open a popup window for selecting the application to be

discounted.

② Select an application to be discounted from the Search Application popup. However,

applications being updated are not included in the search results.

③ Specify the discount period. The discount period can start from the next day of the

selection date. The "Discount Starts" date can be set as the same as the ''Discount

Ends'' date.

④ The discounted price will be applied to a batch if you enter the standard discount rate

and click Auto Input. You can set the price and discount by country, too. The

discounted price will be applied based on the exchange rate at the time that the

discount is registered.

⑤ Click [Confirm] to register the discount.

C. Discount Details

You can check the discount details registered by the seller.

① The application information and discount details registered by the seller are displayed.

② The status and date of last update are displayed.

③ If the discount status is 'On Going' or 'Waiting', you can terminate the ongoing

discount by clicking [Discount Termination].

④ If the discount status is 'Waiting', you can edit the discount period, discounted country

and discounted price by clicking [Edit].

D. Edit Discount

You can edit the discount details registered by the seller.

① Edit the discount period, discounted country(s) or discounted price.

② Click [Save] to save the updated discount information.

2) Banner

You can register and manage application banners and icons for promotions.

A. Banner Status

This is a screen to show the banner/icon list registered by a seller.

① Click the menu to access the Banner/Icon list screen. The list shows all applications

registered by a seller.

② A banner/icon registered by the seller can be searched for by device or application

title.

③ Click the [Add] button to register a new banner/icon to the application. Click the [Edit]

button to modify the registered banner/icon.

④ Banners can be registered in two sizes, General and Additional, but they must

be registered in both JPG and the original PSD formats. An icon must be

registered as an .ai file.

B. Add(Edit) Banner/Icon

This is a screen for a seller to register his or her banner/icon. The same applies to Edit

Banner/Icon. The registered banner will be reviewed by Samsung Apps and posted on the

store if the banner is judged to be appropriate. An image of icon may be used for

Samsung Apps marketing purposes; you should only register the image if you agree to it

being used in this way.

① Click [Register] or [Edit] to register icons and banner images.

② Register an image of an appropriate size based on the type of banner.

③ You cannot register just a PSD file without registering a GIF, JPG, or PNG file.

3) Coupon

You can create and manage discount coupons for promotions.

A. Coupon Status

① When clicking Coupon, you navigate to the ‘Coupon Listing’ page.

② You may view coupons based on country, coupon status or expiration date as well as

search using keywords.

③ You may check coupon details from the listing, such as application title, country of

issuance, coupon code, coupon’s creation date, expiration date, time remaining and

which coupons have expired.

④ Coupons can be used only in the country where they are issued. If you suspend,

terminate or update the application within the validity period of a coupon, coupons will

no longer be available.

⑤ Each time the corresponding application version of the issued coupons is updated

(Revision), the coupons can be reissued. Unissued coupons of previous version will

be expired and not be cumulated.

⑥ A manual can be downloaded by clicking [Coupon Usage Manual] button. You can

refer to the detailed information on coupon usage.

B. Add New Coupon

① You may select the application for which you would like to create a coupon by clicking

[Search Application].

② Once the Search Application pop-up window appears, you may select one application.

However, applications being updated are not included in the search results.

③ Coupons can be issued only for paid applications, so a list of countries for sales will

be automatically sorted when selecting the Application. You can select the countries

that you want to issue coupons and set up to 1000 coupons by country. Even if you

haven't issued all of 1000 coupons, additional coupons cannot be issued.

④ You may now select the duration of the coupon. The coupon can come into effect as

early as the next day and can last up to 4 weeks. (You may choose to cancel or

remove coupons before the expiration date.)

⑤ Click [Issue] to register the coupon.

⑥ It will change to ‘Wait’ status after the coupons are issued. They cannot be used until

the status is changed to ‘Usable’. (Up to 24 hours required)

3. View Sales/Accounting

1) Sales Summary

You can view a performance report that updates the daily revenue and the income of the

seller through SAMSUNG Galaxy Apps.

① You may check the sales page by clicking [Sales Summary].

② Fees

Sales Summary Fee is the sum of Samsung Commission and Transaction Fee.

Samsung Commission includes local Revenue Share and service charge,

Transaction Fee includes VAT and PG commission.

When a product is sold using a discount coupon, Samsung pays the promotion fee.

Marketing costs refers to the sum total of promotion fees paid by Samsung. They are

paid on the appropriate payment date. TAX refers to VAT, Samsung pays each

country’s VAT by proxy. The VAT rate per country is excluded from the payment

amount.

After collecting data relevant to the payment, detailed information may be added later

on.

2) Financial Report

You can view actual sales revenue for accounting by month.

① A Financial Report is a monthly sales account report where you can check the sales

under minimum transfer amount and total sales amount including month to date sales.

② You can check the Fee separately by Samsung Commission and Transaction Fee.

③ You can view prior financial reports by selecting a settlement month on the Financial

Report page under the Accounting menu in Seller Office.

3) Settlement Report

You can view the actual amount of settlement by month which meets the minimum

transfer amount.

① A Settlement Report is issued for all sales amounts. When the estimated transfer

amount, for Commissionaire and Agent combined, exceeds the minimum transfer

amount, we will send you the revenue.

For Korean sellers, however, the monthly transfer will be processed even if the

estimated transfer amount is less than the minimum transfer amount.

② When a settlement report is issued, it will be sent to the seller’s E-Mail address.

③ You can view prior Settlement reports by selecting a settlement month on the

Settlement Report page under the Accounting menu in Seller Office.

④ On the designated payment date, the amount stated in the Settlement Report is

transferred to the registered bank account. (A transfer commission will be deducted.)

4. View Downloads/Statistics

1) View by Application

For the sellers’ convenience, SAMSUNG Galaxy Apps Seller Office provides sales

statistics to view the number of downloaded and registered Apps, and the amount of sales.

You can check the number of downloads and the present sales conditions by country and

application; you can also download this information as an Excel file.

① Please select a period to view. Click an icon from the calendar to select a date.

② Select to filter by Country or Application. If you select to filter by ‘Application’, you can

search for specific applications and set additional conditions.

③ With a search condition set up once, you can check both status of downloads and

sales at the same time.

④ You can check the status of downloads by countries with graphs and statistics as

follows.

2) Download View by Item

For the convenience of sellers, the SAMSUNG Galaxy Apps Seller Office provides sales

statistics so that the numbers of downloaded and sales can be viewed. You can check the

number of downloads and the present sales conditions by country and application; you

can also download this information as an Excel file. You can use the same searching and

viewing methods as for Statistics > Application.

Seller Office supports the use of Seller Office through various channels.

6. Manage My Profile

1) Profile

You can view or modify seller information.

① Please enter the password again to keep your personal information safe.

② You can view the Seller’s information.

③ You can change the seller type.

④ Chinese sellers can check their identification verification status. They can request

identification verification when the verification status is Approved or Rejected.

⑤ Entering information on the ‘Information for Seller Page’ screen creates a seller

introduction in the buyer channel, and you can go to the Seller Page with Deeplink.

We recommend that you enter as much information as possible about your company

on the ‘Information for Seller Page’ screen, because this is what will be displayed on

the Seller Page when a user clicks on the Seller Name at Samsung Apps. If you do

not include an introduction to your company, then the default introduction provided by

the Seller Office will be applied.

⑥ In the ‘Additional Contacts Information’ screen, you may select what types of emails

are sent to your seller’s account by selecting categories or adding information.

⑦ Click the [Edit] button at the bottom of the Seller’s information page to change

information.

⑧ Please enter the password again to keep your personal information safe.

⑨ Modify the information of the seller that is to be updated.

⑩ Commercial sellers can only change their password. However, commercial sellers

can change account information for the following.

PayPal Account → PayPal Account Modification allowed

PayPal Account → Bank Account Not allowed for Russian private sellers.

Bank Account → PayPal Account Not allowed for Korean and Chinese sellers.

Bank Account → Bank Account Available through Support

⑪ Any financial information cannot be changed between the 15th and 24th of each

month.

⑫ Click the [Save] button to confirm changes.
