Before ordering, consult Self-Seal® firestop listings to confirm that there is a firestop system for your particular site condition. Self-Seal® ARCHITECTURAL, MECHANICAL and ELECTRICAL APPLICATION CHARTS can be used as a quick reference. Self-Seal® SL-100 is only recommended for use in firestop systems that are listed in the APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR Self-Seal® SL-100/GG-200 SILICONE FIRESTOP SEALANTS.

Self-Seal® SL-100 is a single-component, low modulus, self-levelling silicone firestop sealant designed for floor applications. It forms a pressure tight seal resistant to water, smoke and toxic gases, see Self-Seal® UL and cUL firestop systems for W (Water tightness) and L (Air Leakage) Ratings. The sealant is also resistant to cracking, ultraviolet radiation and ozone.

Self-Seal® SL-100 seals service penetrations and expansion joints in fire and smoke rated floor separations. Basic uses include firestopping:• Aluminium, pre-cast concrete and curtain wall systems.• Thermally expanding pipes that are insulated at fire separations.• Power / communication cables and aluminium / galvanized steel cable trays.• Static / non-static pipes and conduits.• Steel, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) sleeving or cored concrete openings.

SURFACE PREPARATION & APPLICATION:Before Use: Read the label in its entirety.

Surface Preparation: • Surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, water, dirt, or any other material and

membranes that may deter adhesion.

Clean-up: 1. Uncured Self-Seal® SL-100 silicone firestop cannot be removed with water.2. Remove the bulk of the uncured sealant with a plastic scraper, being careful not to compress it into cracks or crevices.3. Use a cloth saturated with mineral spirits, acetone, or denatured alcohol to wipe away any remaining silicone.4. Clean surface with soap and water if possible.

STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE: • Shelf life is 24 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a clean, dry area.• Store between 10° to 25°C (50° to 77°F).• For best results, store the sealant in tightly closed containers when not in use.
