Self-Seal ® SL-100 is a single-component, low modulus, self-levelling silicone firestop sealant designed for floor applications. It forms a pressure tight seal resistant to water, smoke and toxic gases, see Self-Seal ® UL and cUL firestop systems for W (Water tightness) and L (Air Leakage) Ratings. The sealant is also resistant to cracking, ultraviolet radiation and ozone. FEATURES & TYPICAL USES: Features: Self-Levelling silicone Water resistant before, during, and after cure Freeze-thaw stable Protects your floor openings Tested at positive pressure to simulate the pressure differentials that can occur in a fire situation Self-Seal ® SL-100 seals service penetrations and expansion joints in fire and smoke rated floor separations. Basic uses include firestopping: Aluminium, pre-cast concrete and curtain wall systems. Thermally expanding pipes that are insulated at fire separations. Power / communication cables and aluminium / galvanized steel cable trays. Static / non-static pipes and conduits. Steel, Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) sleeving or cored concrete openings. SURFACE PREPARATION & APPLICATION: Before Use: Read the label in its entirety. Surface Preparation: Surfaces must be structurally sound, clean, dry, and free from oil, grease, water, dirt, or any other material and membranes that may deter adhesion. Application: 1. See application guidelines for information regarding installation. 2. Follow all instructions in system/listing for each application. If you need help, call us at 1-800-853-3984. Clean-up: 1. Uncured Self-Seal ® SL-100 silicone firestop cannot be removed with water. 2. Remove the bulk of the uncured sealant with a plastic scraper, being careful not to compress it into cracks or crevices. 3.
