SUDDENLY, LAST SUMMER presented by Tennessee Williams Festival [ Mature Drama ] 1936, in the Garden District of New Orleans. THE STATEMENT OF RANDOLPH CARTER presented by Theatre Macabre [ Mature Drama ] “I do not know what has become of Harley Warren; though I think‚ almost hope‚ that he is in peaceful oblivion, if there be anywhere so blessed a thing.” According to a witness, Randolph Carter and Harley Warren were last seen together on the Gainsville pike, on their way toward Big Cypress Swamp in the middle of the night, carrying lanterns, spades, and wire. Randolph was found the next morning, alone and dazed on the edge of the swamp. THE STATUE OF BOLIVAR presented by Stray Dog Theatre [ Mature Dramedy ] Elizabeth is surprised and stunned when her pending date stands her up and sends his surly teenage daughter, Jemma, in his place. THE TALKING CURE SPEAKS presented by St. Louis Fringe [ Mature Drama ] The Talking Cure SPEAKS is inspired by the visual art of New York Artists, Melissa Stern. Local and national writers have been commissioned to write first person monologues as if they are speaking as each of the statues and these writings have been fused together through the lens of Tennessee Williams’, The Glass Menagerie by members of the St. Lou Fringe Community. The Talking Cure SPEAKS is performed by Executive Director, Matthew R. Kerns. TO THIS DAY; THE CRICKETS HAVE ARTHRITIS presented by Black Mirror [ Mature Drama ] Two pieces by the moving young Canadian poet/artist Shane Koyczan. Shane’s work has stunned audiences on three continents. We will perform Shane’s now famous anti-bullying poem, To This Day. The second piece is Shane’s incredibly powerful piece about life, illness, death, hope and humanity titled The Crickets Have Arthritis. The performance features collaboration with The Big Muddy Dance Company with music/vocal stylings by Haley Michelle Jones. TYPES OR A MANIC PIXIE DREAM GIRL AND A STRONG FEMALE CHARACTER DO STUFF presented by Insight Theatre [ General Drama ] What happens when two of the most worn-out female tropes have Bechdel-test-worthy encounters? Four scenes will enlighten us all. This short clever play will give you some ‚“INSIGHTS” and entertain you too. It is appropriate for all, but best for adults. WHEN OPRAH SAYS GOODBYE presented by A Call to Conscience [ Mature Drama ] The play focuses on our aging LGBTQ population. It touches on the realities of aging; oppressive elder care facilities; and the consequences of friendship betrayed and rediscovered, as well as the importance of forgiveness.

WITH SUPPORT FROM

INTO THE WOODS • presented by Debut [ General • Musical ] Debut Theatre Company will present selections from their Fall 2018 Acting Against Cancer production of Into the Woods. Debut is a metro St. Louis, youth founded, youth led, federally recognized non-profi t whose mission is to give theatrically less experienced youth the opportunity to work with seasoned peers. It is their goal to connect with the community both on and off stage. All profi ts from their shows go straight to Siteman Cancer Center through donations to Pedal the Cause.

LUCHADORA! • presented by Theatre Nuevo/Mustard Seed Theatre [ General • Comedy ] Luchadora! is set around the world of Lucha Libre (Mexican Wrestling). This award-winning play follows Lupita as she reveals her struggle and passion to be a wrestler in the male-dominated profession in the 1960s to her granddaughter, who has some pretty big dreams of her own.

MADE TO ORDER • presented by PRIME [ General • Comedy ] In the spirit of PRIME’s passion for 24-hour play festivals - we’ll be delivering fresh plays in thirty minutes or less. Audiences will get to make last minute changes to our scripts, “help” the actors with their motivation, and maybe even fi nd themselves on stage for the fi nal show. Let us introduce you to the world of PRIME’s raw, unorthodox theatre with this bite-sized slice of chaos.

MARCUS; OR THE SECRET OF THE SWEET • presented by Solid Lines Productions [ Mature • Drama ] “Marcus is sixteen and ‘sweet.’ Days before Hurricane Katrina strikes the projects of Louisiana, the currents of his life converge, overfl owing into his close-knit community and launching the search for his sexual and personal identity on a cultural landscape infused with mysterious family creeds. The provocative, poignant, and fi ercely humorous coming-of-age story of a young gay man in the South, MARCUS is the stirring conclusion of The Brother/Sister Plays.”

MIDSUMMER MADNESS! • presented by Prison Performing Arts [ General • Comedy ] Midsummer Madness! is a frolicking romp thru the silliest scenes from Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. The Rude Mechanicals - Shakespeare’s workman clowns are preparing an original play for the Duke’s wedding. Peter Quince has written a highly quirky version of the famous tale, Pyramus and Thisbe. His task is to cast it, direct it and produce it for the Duke with a very amateur but highly enthusiastic cast of misfi t actors.

READINGS UNDER THE BIG TOP • presented by St. Louis Actors’ Studio [ General • Dramedy ] Selected Readings from High School Playwright Finalists from the 2018 LaBute New Theater Festival.

REAL LIFE HIP HOPERA • presented by jpek [ Mature • Musical Drama ] Rent meets In the Heights in a transformational story of Real Life, an urban musical that explores the attitudes of urban living. Ray has a test of faith as he is forced to choose his morality over a sensationalized street nature that may lead to his demise. Through the power of community, acts of faith and an enduring grandmother, Ray embraces redemption, but at what cost?

ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN ARE DEAD • presented by St. Louis Shakespeare [ Mature • Comedy ] This comedy follows the two hapless friends of Hamlet, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, as they go on a journey from which they never return. On a day like any other, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern’s peaceful morning is suddenly disrupted when a messenger from Elsinore castle raps on their window informing them that they have been summoned. Thus, begins the journey for our befuddled travelers as they explore fate, their purpose and very nature of existence.

RUN-ON SENTENCE • presented by SATE [ Mature • Drama ] Based on the experiences of female prison inmates, Run-On Sentence by Stacie Lents tells the story of cell mates whose lives are turned upside down by the arrival of a new inmate.

SCENES FROM SEASON 14 • presented by Upstream Theatre [ General • Dramedy ] Scenes from Season 14.

SCENES FROM THREE DECEMBERS • presented by STL Opera Collective [ Mature • Musical ] Jake Heggie’s deeply moving opera explores the emotional shrapnel, secrets and hard truths that take place over three decades in the life of a Broadway diva, who has long ignored her (now adult) children as she pursues her career. Her daughter is struggling with a failing marriage, and her son is facing the death of his partner. The beautiful score highlights the tangled emotions of this family as they come to grips with the secrets which have shaped their relationships.
