no further questioning was made by the policeto him. He said the councillor was claiming thathe picked up the man thinking that he caughtcold and rushed him to the clinic for treatment.“He was taken by the police to show them theexact place where he picked up the body and heshowed them three different locations. Stillthey did not arrest him. The community thinksthis is politically motivated as the councillor isa returning candidate for ANC,” he said.He added that they are suspicions that thepolice are covering up the suspects.“The police have to be investigated too as theyknow exactly about the incident but failed to act

against the councillor. There is foul play in thepolice station,” he said. Regional Police Com-mander Warrant Officer Rasidibe told the Dis-patch that the allegations were not true.“I was having a radio interview yesterday andtold them that there is nothing like that. This isjust a make up story. Go and ask the person whotold you about the issue where did he get it fromas we as the police do not know anything aboutit and we do not have such a case in the station,”he said. When the Dispatch contacted Diphofa for acomment, his cellphone rang unanswered. Laterthat day, it was on voice mail.

Elias Motsoaledi Councillor and BolsheviksParty of South Africa (BPSA) leader, SeunMogotji, claims that he is being provoked byANC members. Mogotji suggested that currentincidents, where he is being confronted byANC members who provoke and swear at him, prove that they have something to do with hisattack where he was shot by unknown assas-sins last month. “In an incident that took placeon Friday 3 June, I shed some more light on myrecent assassination attack when I was con-fronted by an unknown man who told me thatI must refrain from defaming the ANC, mostespecially Elias Motsoaledi Local Municipal-ity, because something bad will happen to me.By that time I was in the queue at the bankhaving a private conversation with my twofriends,” Mogotji told the Dispatch. He said he asked the man how he can interferein a conversation that he was having with hisfriends, the man continued threatening himsaying he must leave the ANC alone. He saidthis is not the first time he has been attacked bypeople who claim that they are ANC members.“When the argument started to be hot, thefailed assassination became the main topic. The man said he was told that I shot myself toscore the public’s political points and mediaattention. How can I plan for about 13 shots tobe fired against me where the police discoveredthat some shots hit the shelves and the car. Itold him that his claims are ridiculous,” he said.Mogotji said he wants to see his attackersbehind bars because he does not feel safeanymore. “I want that man to be traced andinterrogated because it is obvious that he has
