‘Seeing is Believing’ movie pitch

I have chosen the horror genre because it is a genre that aims to create a sense of fear, panic, alarm, and dread for the audience. It also makes the audience engage with the plot and want to make the characters stay away from the unexpected.

The Horror Genre

Seeing is believing is about a blind young girl who believes that there is a spirit lurking in the shadows. No one believes her but what comes next is unexpected.

Plot Summary

The key characters I have chosen for my film are Jared Leto, Angelina Jolie and Mackenzie Foy. I have chosen these actors/actresses because they are well know so the film will attract fans of these actors/actresses. These actors/actresses will play the roles of the Harte family with Jared Leto playing Gareth Harte, Angelina Jolie playing Edith Harte and McKenzie Foy playing Amelia Harte

Key Characters

The director that I have chosen for my film is James Wan because he is well known for directing horror movies such as Saw, The Conjuring and Insidious. This will ensure that he knows how to film engaging to the audience in order to make a good film.

Director

My target audience is aimed at older teenagers and adults that are fans of the horror genre and actors/actresses. Also my target audience is aimed at people that are fans of the director and the films he has made.

Target Audience

My film is going to be filmed in Charlton Georgia and is going to be set in the early 1970’s. I picked this time era because it was a time when people were very superstitious and a lot of people believed in spirits.

Film setting and location

My film will have a high budget considering al of the well known actors/ actresses and director. It will also need a high budget for all of the special effects and extras.

Budget

I intended to release my film in October because that is around Halloween and it is a horror movie a lot of people will want to see it on Halloween to have a thrill from the film.
