The Native Seeds ProjectExploring SustainabilityThe Student Environmental Association (SEA) at the University of

Michigan-Dearborn collected native plant seeds from the U of M-Dearbo

Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) rain garden.

These plants are naturally adapted for low-maintenance care, look

great, can hold their own against the elements, make a great home for lo

of native animals, and do a fine job taking up water when it rains. Our

rivers and tributaries dont flood as quickly, which is great for the things

living in the water in more ways than we have space to explain here.Tofind out more, you can visit the EIC at 4901 Evergreen Drive, Dearborn M

48128 free of charge to talk to the friendly staff, explore the Rain Garden

and discover the other campus natural areas or

to current and future students through quality events, re-creational activitie

stewardship, civic engagement, and ultimately cultivating a more vibrant,

sustainable community on and around campus. To achieve this we refer to our Mission:

The SEA informs, educates, and empowers students to acknowledge the

greater community; engage their environment; develop a sense of wonder; a
