• The National Association of Realtors said that existing home sales fell 0.4% to a seasonally adjusted 4.60 million units last month from 4.62
million in January. February’s pace of sales was the lowest since July 2012, when it stood at 4.59 million.

• Eveready Industries Mgt Guideline : Comapny announced a hike in the prices of it batteries on higher input costs. The company has informed
the BSE that realizations will go up by 3-8 percent - from April 2014 through rise in prices of pencil size batteries by Rs 5-10 per strip of 10
batteries at a MRP level and for D size batteries by Rs 10 per box of 20 batteries. Company hopes to improve the company's overall EBITDA margin
which currently is at around 8 percent to 8-9 percent in the coming financial year. Company says with this price increase the company has
managed to pass on all cost increases to consumers. Company is not expecting any impact on volumes in the long term as the increase in prices is
just Rs 0.5-1 per battery.

• IOB Mgt Guideline : Company will be selling bad loans of 53 accounts worth Rs 1,800 crore to asset reconstruction companies in FY14 . Indian
Overseas Bank, which has got the approval to raise funds, has received Rs 1,200 crore from the government.
• European Central Bank said that Euro zone current account rose to a seasonally adjusted 25.3B, from 20.0B in the preceding month whose
figure was revised down from 21.3B. Analysts had expected Euro zone current account to fall to 18.4B last month.
• Jain Irrigation Systems has informed that the Securities Issuance Committee of Directors met on March 20, 2014 and alloted 75,00,000
Ordinary Equity Shares of Rs 2 each at a issue price of Rs 86.30 per share arising out of exercise of option attached to 75,00,000 Equity Warrants
of Rs 86.30 each issued on September 21, 2012
• Tata Starbucks currently has presence in Mumbai, Delhi, Pune and Bangalore and has its coffee plantations in the Coorg area of Karnataka.
Starbucks globally operates over 20,000 stores across 64 countries, serving over 70 million customers per week. It grew to 40 stores in 17 months
in India, with first outlet launch in Mumbai in October 2012.
• European Commission said that Euro zone consumer confidence fell to an annual rate of -9.3, from -12.7 in the preceding month. Analysts had
expected Euro zone consumer confidence to fall -12.4 last month.
• IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company has been awarded a contract for construction of Elevated Depot Cum Workshop for the rapid
metro rail Gurgaon. The total value of the contract is Rs 69.97 crore and is to be completed with in 24 months from the date of issue of LOA.
• Gujarat Gas Co Ltd (GGCL) has won a licence to retail CNG to automobiles and piped cooking gas to households in Bhavnagar in Gujarat, the oil
regulator PNGRB has said.
• Claris Lifesciences received approval from shareholders for buyback of up to 92.5 lakh shares (representing 15 percent of the paid up capital) at
Rs 250 apiece.
• Uco Bank has sold bad loans worth Rs 1,500 crore to an asset reconstruction company to clean up its balance sheet before the end of the fiscal.
