My Top Concern

I am primarily concerned with making sure that nothing interferes with patient care. Every day I need to make sure all our patient support systems have power and connectivity, which is crucial for collecting patient data.

Because of that, we must be on top of anything that interrupts connectivity to end devices affecting patient care such as our nursing carts.

What I Need

1. We need to have a good snapshot of the status of our system.

2. We would like to know all our systems are operating.

I need to know the status of all our systems and where problems are occurring. If I don’t know this then my team ends up spending hours, or even days, chasing down the wrong issue. For four years, this has been my reality.

What Happened

Until finally one day we had a connectivity issue and needed to troubleshoot all our systems, so we could diagnose cause. We used Vertiv Intelligence to gather data and analyze trends with our UPS capacity.

This uncovered the problem. Our UPSs were operating too close to capacity and causing issues with connectivity due to lack of sufficient power. Ever since that day we feel confident we can efficiently troubleshoot and diagnose problems quickly to resolve them in a timely manner.

yy The Vertiv Intelligence Portal allows my team to view all carts status on a monitor in our NOC.

yy Alarm and warning notifications from Vertiv Intelligence enables us to act before something becomes a problem.

As a result, we believe that our IT devices can now be proactive in telling us what needs to be done to keep everything running smooth. What used to sneak up on us and create emergencies has now given us breathing room to resolve issues through quick diagnosis. I feel we can respond to issues before they become critical.

As a Hospital IT Director, one of my primary responsibilities is to decrease problem to response time with my critical devices.

My Top Concern and Challenges

I am primarily concerned with overall status of my remote locations. We don’t have staff located at all our locations. We have challenges with receiving alarms and warnings for events as they happen. Because of that challenge, we could have devices down and not know about it for 20-30 minutes. The delay in notification adds a lot of stress to my day-to-day, especially when we have to scramble to send out someone to respond to an event.

What I Need

I just want to trust the status of my edge environment, so I can act quickly and efficiently if problems arise.

What Happened

Recently, I started monitoring devices with Vertiv Intelligence which allows me to see a simple status of all my remote locations and quickly understand where there might be problems. I am confident I can resolve the problems quickly and reduce business disruption. I can do more with less resources because I trust the data I received from my remote locations.

What used to take 30 minutes to alert us of an issue and then respond happens in an instant. As a result, we can get ahead of problems before they become business interruptions. We are no longer losing revenue and customer satisfaction because we can’t perform the services. I feel excited to be on top of our environment.

As an Infrastructure Engineer one of my responsibilities is to have visibility to all locations that house devices.

My Top Concern and Challenges

I am primarily concerned with uptime. Four to five times each week I have to research and respond to after hours alarms. Because of that, I sometimes have to break from time spent with my family to VPN in to my company’s network with my laptop. I often spend hours completing tasks so I can effectively respond to these types of events.

What I Need

I just want to quickly act without all the hassle and spend more time with my family. For three years, this has been my reality.

What Happened

Until I started monitoring devices with Vertiv Intelligence. Now I easily see location and device type. I can contact the right person to resolve the issue. Now I can respond to after hours notifications more efficiently than before and reclaim my personal time.

As Network Engineer, my primary responsibility is to monitor all IT devices in remote locations.
