See It, Depict It, Create & Solve It

When we were children we drew. Then when most of us went to school we stopped. We all CAN DRAW and CAN LEARN to draw AGAIN. We think in images. We can learn to draw them again to tremendously expand our creative thinking and problem solving. This session was designed to help you learn how to illustrate your images from stick figures to star people to how you can depict and generate ideas while discovering, understanding and solving problems in teams and groups.

Participants will walk out being able to easily draw effectively:

ideas, challenges and solutions

Participants will experience a variety of visual thinking techniques from symbols, abstractions to sketches to graphics from logical engineering types to fun artist types

Participants will have fun experiencing the underused powers they have always possessed.

Alan has been drawing since birth. He drew before he could speak. He drew on walls of his bedroom until his mom stopped him and gave him paper. In school he was the kid who did all the hallway art. He went on to earn 3 college degrees in art and design out of 5 he began plus two degrees in education out of 4 he began and has worked as a licensed architect, cartoonist, graphic, interior and industrial designer, as well as, a college professor teaching design and drawing at the Univ of Ga. For the past 25 years he has been a creative thinking consultant and trainer who travels around the world to teach and learn while having a lot of fun with new friends. he Since 1964 has been learning from many fields how to create visual ideas and solve problems graphically. He has spent most of the past 33 years focused on learning and helping people to recognize their natural creativity and to develop skills and knowledge about how to become DELIBERATELY CREATIVE.

He has been an eclectic learner and teacher exploring and working in many fields. The common threads to his 47 jobs in 8 fields in the past 49 years are....

1. an obsessed visual person 2. loves to design and draw 3. loves to help people grow

Now at the age of 64 he is integrating all of his life to focus on his truly strongest gifts:

being creative by choice, growing drawing skills and love of helping.
