IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR
CERTIFICATE OF GRADUATION
Do not take the Certificate of Graduation to the DMV with you
to get your permit or license. The DMV will just throw the COG
away.
The only documents you should take to the DMV is the signed
CDTP Awareness form (given to you by the Maxwell Driving
School) and the documents required by the state to obtain your
permit or license. We have provided you with a list of
documents to take to the DMV.
The certificate of graduation is for you to keep. You can present
the COG to your insurance company for a discount if you qualify
for one.
PARENTS: Make several copies of your COG and keep the
original. Send a COPY of the COG to your insurance company.
You should keep the original and copies of the COG with your
important papers.
