b) Here I satalone with all my friendsHere I satalone with all my friends admiring the yellow yolk scorching the land with its
indistinguishable fury. The navy blue seas wrath and the howling winds brought the ocean onto thebeach; dragging chips of rocks back out into the heart of the ocean. The baby blue sky featured a
lone, creamy white cloud gracefully drifting away from its group. The salty air and gritty sand in my
mouth seemingly uncomfortable actually soothed my inner world, for it was nothing unordinary. A
cold child pervaded the atmosphere.
There was a crowd of swimmers, and tanned sun bakers bunched together on the 20meters outside
of the swimming flag poles. My mates and I rushed over to see what was wrong only to find some
ten year old boy puke all over his parents. It wasnt an everyday situation, and we werent trained to
handle situations like these. My body spontaneously titled away from the source of the revolting
scent. It was almost contagious when I felt a little tingle prowl up my throat. Struggling to succeed, Ishoved my throat with gulps of refreshing mountain water. We had a few laughers; we had a few
ewww.-ers; and we had a few people who simply walked off as if it were nothing special. The
fact is it was nothing special. People vomit in hospitals every day, just not at a beach!
My mates decided that I should carry the stunned pale child back to our first aid room and clean him
and his parents up. The hot, moist breath rubbed against my neck as the tuna scent seeped into my
nostrils. The repulsive scent lingered around my body for the entire piggy back ride. The cold,
shivering boy was as slippery as ice. My colleagues knew the relentless stench was unbearable and
offered to trade hands with me. Mixed with emotions of delight and reluctance, I kindly declined the
offer, signifying how much of a man I was.
We finally arrived at our base. After cleaning up the little young boy and his parents, we were able to
paint a smile upon his face at the end of the day. We were all proud of how well we salvaged the day
without causing chaos.
The wind had grown stronger as the moon summoned higher tides. The life savers flag quavered in
the wind like a film of sliding warm water. People were laughing and embracing under the sunset
once again. The sand squished slowly through my toes as my mates and I lay out our towels. We
took a moment to put our life on hold and gazed at what nature had to offer to us; the setting of the
sun and the birth of a brighter tomorrow.
