Whale Intelligent Control A New Era of Fresh & Waste Water Control on Board Whale has developed a revolutionary and innovative range of pumps and accessories which use a built in electronic control circuit to communicate directly with each other. Known as Intelligent Control (IC) this complete system allows the built-in software to control the pumps automatically in reaction to the accessory commands. The IC technology is not just an on/off pump control but a complete monitor of all relevant aspects of the system. Intuitive IC pumps are matched with IC accessories such as shower gulley’s, manifolds and bilge strainers which sense waste and bilge levels, alerting the Gulper IC and providing automatic operation. The new Fresh IC freshwater pump monitors voltage, pressure and current and provides for soft start and stop running with no mechanical switching, meaning less on/off cycling and longer system life. The new IC technology monitors relevant aspects of the system via integrated sensors with no moving parts. Designed with reliability in mind all IC components are fully protected against water ingress with fully potted circuitry. High integrity pre wired connection systems feature marine grade waterproof electric connectors for quick and easy fit up. With continuous monitoring and self diagnosis the pump performance is continually scrutinised and adjusted depending on demand and supply voltage.

Gulper® IC

High capacity grey waste pump with Intelligent Control electronics built in ensuring that the pump operates only when required. When grey water is detected via an electronic signal received from either the Gulley IC or Two Way Manifold IC, the Gulper IC pump is automatically activated, minimising wear and reducing operating times.

Strainer® IC

The new Strainer IC with integral automatic Intelligent Control provides for quick system fit-up and connection. It operates by sending signals to a remotely mounted Gulper IC pump switching it on and off automatically when water is detected. Supplied with 4m of cable for direct connection to Gulper IC.

Shower Wastes

The Whale range of shower wastes (also knows as Gulley's) are available in two sizes to suit 19mm hose in both IC and non IC versions. Features include modern compact design, easily removed cover for cleaning and simplistic mounting. IC models are pre-wired with 4m of cable for direct connection to Gulper IC and are supplied with hose tail and non-return valve as shown in the line drawings below.

Two Way Manifold IC The Two Way Manifold IC unit consists of two waste inputs and one outlet with Intelligent Control built in. The intelligent built-in IC design allows waste from multiple drains to be detected, automatically activating the remote Gulper IC pump. Supplied with 4m of cable for direct connection to Gulper IC.

Whale High Pressure Washdown KitThe Whale universal high pressure washdown pump delivers up to 18 litres per minute to a maximum pressure of 45psi making light of the most difficult cleaning and washing jobs.

Designed for salt water use these rugged self priming pumps provide a smooth constant flow to a maximum lift of three metres and can run dry without damage. The glass filled polypropylene head with sealed internal pressure switch are designed to provide years of trouble free use.

YNon-Return ValvesThe Whale non-return valves offer a simple way to maintain prime in a suction or discharge line. Designed to fit in-line, they can also be dismantled for ease of cleaning. 131114 accepts 25mm hose but can be cut to accept 38mm hose. Totally non corrosive construction.

Diverter ValvesHigh quality two-way valves, normally installed in the suction or discharge line of bilge pumps, they also have many other uses including toilet waste diversion. They are precision machined to eliminate seepage and odour problems.

‘Y’ ValveProvides controlled diversion of 2 x 38mm lines into one or vice versa. Typical uses include connection of one bilge pump to two separate bilge areas or installation in a toilet system to control discharge to holding tank, or deck waste pump out, or discharge overboard (if permitted). Manufactured from ABS plastic to retain odours. Stainless steel fastenings used throughout. Locking tab enables the valve to be locked in one line open position. Valve configuration has common port always open with one of the other ports selectably open or both open. It is only possible to close one port at any one time.

Piping ConnectorsThe ‘Y’ piece and 90º elbow are useful in many bilge pump installations. The ‘Y’ piece enables two pumps to discharge through a single line when a diverter valve is not required. The elbows are helpful in confined spaces, they have one external end to clamp over a Whale/Henderson manual bilge pumps inlet or outlet, the other end fits internally in hose of the size as normally connected to the bilge pump, thus providing a 90º plumbing bend at hose to pump connection.

StrumboxesFitted at the end of a manual bilge pump suction hose deep in the bilge, a Whale strumbox prevents debris from entering and blocking the hose or bilge pump. Available in top entry for deeper bilges or side entry for shallow bilges. They are suitable for 25mm hose and can be cut to accept 38mm hose.• Allows maximum amount of water to be pumped from

Tsunami Bilge PumpsAvailable in three pump capacities, the Tsunami submersible bilge pumps are a unique design featuring a quick inspection twist lock cartridge design, allowing instant inspection of the impeller, or clearing of obstructions, without tools. Water circulates the motor housing to dissipate heat. Patented shaft seal centres directly on the motor shaft, preventing leaks caused by misalignment. Moulded two wire seal is permanently fused to the insulation and the tinned wire is caulked to prevent wicking and subsequent water entry to the motor housing. Three year warranty.

Heavy Duty Bilge PumpsDesigned for commercial/work boats where reliability and long life is paramount. Sure Bail Float SwitchSuper reliable float switch with cover, converts electric bilge pumps to automatic operation. The Pro Air system contains the plumbing hardware required for connection to a water pump to make a livewell system. Water plumbing includes 'T' joiner, 90º flow direction head and spray head with flow valve, all to suit 19mm hose. Also included is a tank drain skin fitting (28mm hose size) that accepts a 90º overflow pipe. Simply remove the overflow pipe to drain the livewell tank.

Bait Tank Aerator Kit

Livewell Overflow Drain90º injection moulded drain fitting installs in base of live tank, for connection to through hull, with minimal space requirement under live tank. The plastic and PVC overflow tube is fitted into drain fitting to keep livewell water depth at desired level. Grate at top of overflow tube prevents catch or live bait from blocking overflow tube. To empty live tank remove the overflow tube. Over flow tube is 450mm long but can be cut down as required. Tube and drain purchased separately.

Diverter Valve ControlThis diverter valve provides an alternative to hand operated 'Y' valves. One pump can supply two different functions such as bait tank and wash down via the recessed rotary remote control lever. Totally rust free construction.

Grey Waste System with PumpFully self contained sump with multiple inlets, submersible pump and automatic switch to pump grey waste overboard, or to holding tank, via a single outlet hose. At the heart of the system is a Sahara 750 automatic bilge pump. Snap on/off gasket sealed clear lid provides immediate visibility of filter build up and allows easy access for cleaning. Its slim and compact size enables it to be located in confined spaces. Supplied with 12mm nipples and mount bracket. To fit Whale semi-rigid pipework Quick Connect 15, use adaptor 136639. Whale has designed the filter to last one season or 4500 litres and recommends that the filter be replaced after this period. Maximum pressure 4 bar.

Surge DamperPrevents water hammer and also reduces switch hunting. Designed for pressurised water systems using Whale System 15. The surge damper should be mounted in a vertical position immediately after the pump discharge side. Connection is via a 12mm nipple. YIsotemp Stainless Steel Water Heaters - Australian Standards Approved

Smart finish in a brushed stainless steel exterior, the quality of the Isotemp Basic by Isotherm, is not just skin deep. Optimal water heating is achieved in two ways, firstly by an immersed electric heating element (immersion heater) and secondly by utilising the boat's engine water heat (Heat Exchange). Isotemp water heaters may be used with fresh water or salt water cooled engine systems. The immersion heater and heat exchanger are positioned in the lowest part of the tank, providing even thermo cycle heating of the water in the system. The engine water heat exchanger coil is extra long for faster heating, especially handy on sailing yachts which may run their engine for short periods only. The water inlets and outlets are positioned to minimise mixing of cold water into the hot, by the incoming water.The immersion heater has been designed to enable easy removal to allow for inspection and cleaning of the tank. The materials used in the construction of the tank are of the highest quality. Acid resistant stainless steel AISI 316 is used for all parts of the tank that are in contact with water. The internal tank is insulated with expanded polyurethane insulation ensuring low temperature loss. The outer cover and mounting feet have been crafted from non-magnetic stainless steel AISI 304. The fixing feet are adjustable to 360º, allowing the tank to be mounted horizontally or vertically. An optional accessory to the range is the thermostatic mixing valve, 135840, (controls the maximum temperature of water at the tap) which adds to safety, particularly important if having young children on board. The Isotemp range of water heaters by Isotherm have a two year full warranty and a five year limited warranty on the tank.

Immersion Heater ElementIsotherm stainless steel water heaters are supplied standard with 240 volt, 750 watt immersion heating elements. For vessels travelling to or being exported to USA, the 240 volt element can be replaced with a 110 volt 750 watt element. Element to be fitted by a licensed electrician or registered electrical contractor.

Water Heater Hose Tail KitSet of four brass tails to provide connection of hoses from both engine cooling system and fresh water supply to Isotemp Slim and Basic water heaters. All four tails are internally threaded 1/2" BSP. The engine connection tails accept 16mm hose and the fresh water connections accept 13mm hose.

Vented LoopsInstalled in toilet systems where the toilet or holding tank is below waterline or near waterline, to prevent sea water from siphoning through the toilet system, potentially swamping the vessel. Inlet and outlet plumbing is looped well above waterline and the vented loop is installed at the top of the loop, preventing siphoning. When installing ensure the vented loop will remain above water line when boat is fully loaded and or heeled.

Waste Holding TanksRoto moulded in 5mm minimum thickness polypropylene, suitable for grey or black waste. Nine plumbing connection ports all 1½" BSP threaded. The 132210 and 132212 macerator toilet pump (refer page 214) can be directly threaded into any of these connection ports, without any plumbing required. Tanks are supplied with all ports blank except the top deck pump out port. Simply cut out any required port with a 40mm hole saw and screw in 1½" BSP fitting. A range of reducers are available to convert the 1½" BSP port to smaller BSP diameters.

Round Rail Mount

This round rail, quick disconnect, all angle mounting bracket is made entirely of 18-8 stainless steel and 356 anodised aluminium to endure the most severe marine environment. Fits any angle railing and detaches quickly for storage without tools, leaving no hardware on the rail.

Deck Mount

Triple chrome plated brass deck socket with 18-8 stainless steel support rod. A stainless detent pin lets the barbecue rotate and lock in eight different positions. Rod portion of mount quickly disconnects for compact storage.

Rod Holder Mount

Made of 18-8 stainless steel and durable all weather plastic, this versatile mount fits most cylindrical type rod holders 38-48mm in diameter. It allows Kettle and Kettle 2 barbecues to mount in any direction from the rod holder. Quick disconnect system allows instant installation or storage after use without tools.

On Shore Stand

Suits both gas and charcoal Kettle barbecues. Cook onshore with this 18-8 stainless steel barbecue stand. It features rubber non-skid foot pads and easily collapses without tools.

Magma Control Valve - Coleman®

Control valve that provides for direct connection of Coleman® disposable propane cylinders to Magma barbecues with Turbo Venturi.

Magma Control Valve - LPG

Replacement control valves for Magma barbecues connected to pre regulated LPG. Valves are preset at low, medium or high volume to suit specific Magma barbecue models. The 139630 valve suits all gas Kettle barbecues fitted with the new Turbo Venturi tube. For replacement of control valve on older kettle barbecues, the Venturi tube will also need to be replaced with the new Turbo Venturi tube 139754. Current model control valves can be identified by their Nickel plated Venturi Connection. Specific valves for Gourmet barbecues are detailed in the table below. All these control valves can be connected to gas hoses 139830 and 139832.

Gas Regulators and HosesGas regulators and hoses to connect Magma LPG gas barbecues with gas bottles. The 139824 suits 3/8" left hand threads. The 139826 regulator suits larger gas bottles with POL thread.

Econo Mate - Bait and Fillet Board

Folds completely flat when not in use, and is detachable as well! Push/pull stainless steel pin attaches table to the boat, fitting in seconds for a really secure and easy to use bait or fillet board. U.V. stabilised polyethylene construction for quick cleaning, easy on the knife and hygienic in use. Fittings are polished stainless steel. Mount bracket included.

Levelock Rod Holder MountUsed in conjunction with single mount tables and Newport barbecue. Manufactured from heat treated stainless steel and hard anodised aluminium. The quick release cam action design allows convenient all angle adjustment. The 38mm 18-8 stainless steel tube fits into most 'cross pin' type rod holders, in eight different rotational positions. Folds flat for compact storage.

Locking Flush Socket Deck MountFor use with single mount tables and Newport barbecues. This flush socket set features a push button locking pin and includes a flanged gasket with attached water seal plug. Screws for attachment to table or barbecue included.

Square Rail/Side MountThese all 18-8 stainless steel mounts attach to flat surfaces such as bulkheads, coamings, transoms or cabin sides. Also mounts to square and flat rails. Fits horizontal rails up to 57mm high by any depth or vertical rails up to 41mm wide by any depth. For use with single mount tables and Newport barbecue.

For use with single mount tables and Newport barbecues. They attach to horizontal round rails and feature two way angle adjustment for perfect horizontal levelling. Made of 18-8 stainless steel and 356 anodised aluminium, they quickly detach without tools for compact storage leaving no hardware on the rails. Great for mounting other items such as solar panels, fish finders or just about anything else onto horizontal or vertical round rails. Sold individually.

Table Height Extension KitRaises the First Mate table by 305mm to a convenient height. 18-8 stainless steel construction. Sold as a set of two. Suitable for use with 139673 dual flush mount deck socket. Can also be used with 139682 dual locking flush socket deck mount, but the locking feature is not available.
