2.2.1. WM-02-WE01: Pre-operation inspection and full function test on a variety of MEWPs at least 20 timesScope of Work ExperienceThe person will be expected to engage in the following work activities:

WA0101 Check to see if the machine has a current load test certificate and operators manual

WA0102 Complete pre-operation inspection according to manufacturers specifications

WA0103 Complete pre-operation checklist

WA0104 Report damaged and/or defective systems and/or components

WA0105 Operate a full function test according to manufacturers specifications

Supporting Evidence SE0101 Checklist confirming validity of load test certificate

SE0102 A report/checklist completed by the learner reflecting damage

SE0103 Register confirming full function test conducted according to OEM specifications

Maximum supervisor/worker ratio of 1:2

Legal Requirements:

Compliant with Safety, Health, Environmental, Risk and Quality (SHERQ) requirements

Compliant with AQP requirements

3. 734301010-WM-03, MEWP transportation processes and procedures, NQF Level 3, Credits 2

3.1 Purpose of the Work Experience ModulesThe focus of the work experience is on providing the learner an opportunity to:

Gain exposure and experience in the MEWP transportation processes and procedures. The learner will be

required to complete 3 opportunities over a period of 4 months as set out below integrated with the other

remaining work experience modules. The learning contract time, which is the time that reflects the required

duration of enrolment for this module is at least 2.5 days.

The learner will be required to:

WM-03-WE01: Load a MEWP at least 10 times

WM-03-WE02: Transport a MEWP at least 10 times

WM-03-WE03: Unload a MEWP at least 10 times
