Apresentação:

Sabemos da importância de aprender uma língua

estrangeira para o desenvolvimento e crescimento do

indivíduo. Concordamos com Paiva (2000) quando ressalta

a importância de aprender pelo menos uma língua em

todas as suas dimensões para ser considerado um cidadão

do mundo. Assim, é necessário superar a visão de que o

objetivo do ensino de uma língua estrangeira é somente o

linguístico. É importante buscarmos novas práticas para

fazer com que nosso aluno consiga utilizar a língua para se

comunicar e interagir em uma situação significativa e

também compreender melhor outras culturas, além da sua

própria, pois desta forma estaremos inserindo-o na

sociedade.

O objetivo deste trabalho é utilizar o gênero textual música

de maneira mais crítica, tentando integrar o conteúdo a

algo que chama a atenção do aluno e proporcionando a ele

um momento de pesquisa, reflexão e discussão de temas

globais.

O material desenvolve atividades estruturadas a partir de

letras de músicas que serão utilizadas como ferramenta

enriquecedora para tornar as aulas de língua inglesa um

espaço no qual o aluno tenha possibilidades de se tornar

mais crítico e analisar a música em seu contexto de

produção.

O público alvo deste material são alunos pertencentes a

uma turma de 3º ano do Ensino Médio do sistema de

blocos, do período vespertino.

APRESENTAÇÃO

Sabemos da importância de aprender uma língua estrangeira para o crescimento

do indivíduo. Essa aprendizagem aumenta sua capacidade de entender o mundo que o

cerca e até mesmo sua capacidade para transformá-lo. Concordamos com Paiva (2000)

quando afirma que “no mundo globalizado, ser cidadão do mundo implica,

necessariamente, o conhecimento de pelo menos um idioma em todas as sua

dimensões”.

Sendo assim, a aula de língua estrangeira moderna (LEM) deve ser um espaço

no qual o aluno pode ser levado a compreender e respeitar as diferenças linguísticas e

culturais. E, também neste espaço, ele pode tornar-se consciente da sua capacidade de

interagir discursivamente com o mundo que está ao seu redor através de uma língua

estrangeira. Isso faz com que seja necessário que o objeto de estudo da LEM para que

não fique restrito ao plano linguístico, mas seja ampliado para o plano da língua como

prática social, a fim de despertar a reflexão e a criticidade dos alunos.

De acordo com as Diretrizes Curriculares (PARANÁ, 2008, p. 57) “o ensino de

Língua Estrangeira deve contemplar os discursos sociais que a compõem, ou seja,

aqueles manifestados em forma de textos diversos efetivados nas práticas discursivas”.

Sendo assim, é necessário apresentarmos aos nossos alunos diferentes gêneros textuais

que aparecem nas diferentes esferas sociais de circulação para que eles retirem deles

significados e possam contribuir para a formação de um cidadão que reconhece seu

papel na sociedade.

Para Lazaroti e Cristovão (2007, p. 29), “o material didático precisa ter conexão

com a vida dos cidadãos”, ou seja, a aluno deve perceber que o que está sendo ensinado

faz parte de sua vida real. Assim, a opção em trabalhar o gênero textual música se

justifica, pois a música está presente no dia a dia de nossos alunos.

A música está presente na vida das pessoas, como podemos observar nos meios

de comunicação, como o radio e a televisão, e também está presente no âmbito escolar,

como podemos comprovar através da observação da presença constante de aparelhos de

som portáteis como: MPs, celulares, pendrives, entre outros, de posse dos nossos alunos

na sala de aula.

Podemos dizer, então, que a música é um material autêntico, ou seja, um

material que não foi elaborado apenas para fins didáticos, mas que faz parte do

cotidiano do aluno. E o uso desse tipo de material em sala de aula colaborará para que

os alunos saibam como lidar melhor com o mesmo.

Aproveitando o gosto que os alunos apresentam pela música e pelas atividades a

ela envolvidas, e também pelo fato de ser um material autêntico, elaboramos este

material sistematizando as capacidades de ação, discursiva e linguístico discursiva.

Utilizaremos também outros gêneros, como: biografia, artigo sobre a letra da música,

opinião em fórum na Internet para melhor compreensão do contexto histórico social de

cada música escolhida.

A elaboração desse material procurou contemplar o uso do gênero textual

música para ir além do desenvolvimento do plano linguístico. O mesmo foi

desenvolvido com o intuito de possibilitar ao aluno momentos de reflexão acerca de

temas globais, de auto avaliação, de tomada de posicionamento crítico em relação ao

mundo em que vive, de reconhecimento do contexto de produção das letras

selecionadas, incluindo, por exemplo, as intenções do compositor ao escrever a letra de

uma música, buscando, consequentemente, proporcionar uma mudança em sua prática

social.

A avaliação ocorrerá durante todo o processo, será contínua e cumulativa. Será

considerada a participação do aluno durante a realização das atividades propostas,

buscando dar oportunidades para que o mesmo perceba seus erros e consiga reestruturar

seu conhecimento através das atividades realizadas.

"Heal the World" was the biggest hit from the album Dangerous; it sold

450,000 copies in the UK and other parts of Europe. Jackson founded

the Heal the World Foundation in 1992. The charity organization brought
