secondary research Taken https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=uPJVJBm9TPA This is a trailer for the movie taken 1 that I will be using as inspiration for when I make my movie trailer .This trailer was taken from YouTube from a channel called CinemaTrailers.tv but this was not originally made by them it was done by the production company EuropaCorp. I use this action movie trailer as my secondary research because this is a popular movie trailer that managed to attract a lot of people to watch the movie this means that if a follow the same type of style then I would be able to attract more people into watching the trailer . Also by looking at this I would be able to find the fundamentals to action thriller trailers so then I can make my trailer look as good as possible . Is the information in this source the point of view of one person or several people? This has been sourced to several different people there are multiple different links on YouTube channels where you can watch this trailer on there. For example threes CinemaTrailers.tv the channel that I got it off as well as MoviemanTrailers .But the real souse of this would be the production company who made it EuroaCorp. Is the research source factual (providing information), opinion led (the authors point of view) or both? The question dose not effect this particular secondary research since the whole point of this was not to inform but to advertise . But I am using it as inspiration for my trailer when i make it . What is the key question(s) the author of the research is addressing? Again this question dose not really applied to this research since it is not aimed to inform instead to advertise . But for me looking at it the main point of researching it was to pick out the good and bad things about this trailer to decide if I want to add these

This is a trailer for the movie taken 1 that I will be using as inspiration for when I make my movie trailer .This trailer was taken from YouTube from a channel called CinemaTrailers.tv but this was not originally made by them it was done by the production company EuropaCorp.

But for me looking at it the main point of researching it was to pick out the good and bad things about this trailer to decide if I want to add these things to my trailer when i make my trailer i will have more of an idea what I want my trailer to look like .

In your opinion, what is the most important information in the research source?

For me I would say that the most important bit of information that i managed to find out of this trailer . Would be the fact that by analysing this trailer several time i have managed to find out the foundations that makes a movie trailer . I have also learnt what some of the good and bad points of it are and how I can use them in order to help me when I'm making my action thriller movie trailer just like this one .

What conclusions have you arrived at after conducting this research?

By looking at this souse I have come up with the conclusion that in order to attract people into watching the movie the trailer must give a clear understanding of the plot of the movie without giving away too much of the story .Another thing that I have realised from watching this that i also need to leave the audience in suspense making them want to watch more and excite them into watching more. I have also learnt the key things needed in order to make a trailer structure start with plot exposition following fast paced action ending with a Clift hanger to make the audience want more .

9 (SHORT) STORYTELLING TIPS FROM A MASTER OF MOVIE

TRAILERS

http://www.fastcocreate.com/3031012/9-short-storytelling-tips-from-a-master-of-movie-trailers

this is a part of text taken from the website that is listed above .The text is about 9 ways in order to help make a good movie trailer .This text is written by a person called Hugh Hart

I am planning to use this text in order to help me structure my movie trailer in the correct way . This is text is not technically aimed at trailer but more at short movies . But the since the making of the two are so close it is easy enough to transfer the information between the short films and film trailers .By looking at this it will certainly help me with the overall production of my final major project

Is the information in this source the point of view of one person or several people?

the information has been sourced from one person called Hugh Hart .But it also has several quotes from other famous cinematographers and filmmakers to help prove his point .But it is all set from his point of view

Is the research source factual (providing information), opinion led (the authors point of view) or both?

This text is an opinionated piece of work since the information is not necessary factual correct since it is what his opinion is on what makes a good film and what he thinks is needed in order to create one . Although there are so facts for some of the statements but they are mainly theory's rather than facts so it is pretty much both factual and opinion view .

What is the key question(s) the author of the research is addressing?

The main point that Hugh Hart is trying to get across to the readers is 9 different ways that they can get story telling across when making short movies .As well of giving tips to the reads to help them on any projects that they happen to make .Although it is aimed at short movies he also tries to give helpful tips in order to help out those who are working on trailers such as myself .

In your opinion, what is the most important information in the research source?

In my personal opinion the thing in this text that is most import to me is the following quote " A trailer's most valuable asset? Originality. "The first thing we look for is fresh moments that you wouldn't see in another movie because, let's be honest, movies can often be derivative," he says. "If something worked once, there'll be four spin-offs of that idea, so there's a lot of repetition in the marketplace. You want to pick out things where you say, 'Okay that doesn't look like 10 other movies I've seen.'" This shows that in order to make more people come to see the movie the trailer must be innervated it can't be too original because if it is people will think that they have seen the type of movie before and won't want to watch it

What conclusions have you arrived at after conducting this research?

From reading this text it has give me several different points that would help me to make my movie trailer .First is to start with a gripping opening and end with a good cliff hanger that grabs the attention of the viewers . Secondly a trailer needs to contains its own personally without nobody will watch the movie . Make the story non linier so it grips the attention of its audience if it looks interesting .Next it doesn't need to be in the correct time order that can be switched up .And finally make sure that there is a scene that is a defining moment that will grab the attention of its audience in order to make them want to watch it .

This is a piece of text about editing techniques that are used when making film related projects .I have got this from a book named I movie 3 and I DVD The Missing Manual . This was written by a collection of people but the main author is a guy named David Pogue . And published by the publishing company Pogue Press OReilly

The piece of work that I am looking at is explaining to its views some of the helpful tips on how to edit film related projects this includes short movies and movie trailers . And how they can help it look better.

Is the information in this source the point of view of one person or several people?

This piece of text is told in the point of view of one person David Pogue . This is his point of view on how editing will make the project look better . So that means that It will not have been backed up by using factual evidence .

Is the research source factual (providing information), opinion led (the authors point of view) or both?

This is both factual and opinionated since the information is coming from the authors point of view but he dose make several different points that have been proven to be correct .But this would also mean looking in other sources to see if they are correct .

What is the key question(s) the author of the research is addressing?

The main point that the author is attempting to get across in the piece of text .Is how to make a movie in its best possible way to make a project . This means camera work ,editing and post productions by giving helpful tips to the books audience .

In your opinion, what is the most important information in the research source?

The thing that I found the most important would be the part called when to cut . It mentions that a lot of directors just uses cuts for the sake of it to speed up the movie . But it says that a good director knows what moment to do a cut in order to get the most effects out of the movie .

What conclusions have you arrived at after conducting this research?

From looking at the text it has allowed me to understand some key points that are used in movie making this is something that can be converted into movie trailers so when I make mine I will have more of an idea what I want to do . It also gives me an idea of different camera and edit techniques that will help me when in the production of my project
