They are leaving Saturday, July 7 th for Lumberton and will be working there through July 13 th . In our last Newsletter I addressed the issue of churches closing their doors. As a follow-up let me add: when a church reaches out to bring in a consultant who is trained in revitalization/turnaround the first thing they will tell you is that when it comes to evaluating programs, services, committees, even constitutions and bylaws, nothing is sacred except God and His word. I know everyone has their favorite program, etc. but if your program is not reaching people for Christ or if it s not discipling members then what is it accomplish- ing. I am working with one of our churches in the process of revitalization. Their vision team is made up of nine members all of which have multiple jobs. When you have too many jobs nothing gets done well. Remember it is not your priority that counts, it is Gods! It is His church, not yours! Turning around a declining or stagnant church is not easy. Decisions must be made that not everyone will agree with, but the alternative might be death. What is more important, getting your way or seeing the church grow and reach the lost for Christ? I am so grateful for your prayers, support, and encouragement as I work along side of you and our Beu- lah Churches. It is a blessing to be serving where God has called. Looking forward to what God has in store. I Love You, Bro Jack

A Word From Your Mission Strategist

A Word from Family Minitries

We have just returned from an awesome week of missions in Lumberton, TX. I want to say thank you to New Salem BC, Macedonia BC, Pleasant Hill BC Rives, FBC Union City, and Johnson Grove BC that went with us to make this a very productive week. A Special thank you to the ladies at Pleasant Hill Rives for the great job they did keeping us fed. If your church is looking for a place to go to do missions, I would highly recommend get-ting in touch with Crestwood BC and iconnect in Kountz, TX. If you have any questions about how you can get involve with the work there you can contact me at 731-592-9711 or email to [email protected]. Again, it's been my pleasure to work at Beulah Baptist Association as your mission strat-egist. Bro. Darrell Morgan

Are We There Yet? This time of the year many of us will take our families and go on vacation. For those of us that have small children the “are we there yet?” question will inevitably come. Probably more than once, depending on how far of a journey you take. This line of questioning reminds me of the story of the Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt all those many years ago. God had instructed Moses to tell Pharaoh it was time to release the Hebrew people from slav-ery and for them to leave Egypt. We all remember the story of the plagues and how Pharaoh finally relented and let them go but have you ever taken the time to review some of the original request made by Moses and Pharaoh’s responses? They are really quite revealing. One such response was Pharaoh telling Moses he could go but they had to stay within the Boundaries of Egypt. They could go but only so far. Isn’t that the way it is with most Christians today? We give our lives to God and Satan is not happy. Even though there is nothing he can do about that, what he can do is suggest that we not go too far into this Christianity thing. It’s not too safe he might say. Or, he may ask if we really want to get called a fanatic or some such thing as that. We really don’t upset satan that much when we get saved—so long as we don’t go that far in our relationship with Jesus. How far have you come in your relationship since becoming a Christian? Enough to upset Satan? Just a thought for your summer driving experience. Respectfully, Herman

Here is the Team from New Salem Baptist Church of Mason Hall with 92 year old Korean war veteran, John Haven. John was so thankful for the help he received.

THANKS to this team from Calvary. Youth Pastor, Da-vid Hagan and some of his youth braved a very hot humid morning to clean our block party trailer and both bouncy hous-es. They did a great job !
