Second UNDP Anticorruption School in Social Networks
The Second UNDP Anticorruption School was organized in Kozyn village in Kyiv oblast on April 25-27; 30
participants from all over Ukraine were selected based on the results of the competition.
Ivan Presniakov, Project Lead, Enhanced Public Sector Transparency and Integrity Project, and Sofia Kovach, Capacity
building expert opened the School.
On the first day of the School the following speakers took the floor: Viktor Chumak with a presentation “How To Reboot
the Government Though Anticorruption Mechanisms”, Antonina Volkotrub “Comparing the Information in
Declarations with the Data in Property Registers: Practical Skills”, Ruslan Riaboshapka “The System of Preventing
Corruption: How Effective Is the Model Chosen by Ukraine”, Denys Bihus “Declarations and Property Registers: Why
They Are Important and How They Are Connected.” In addition, together with Ivan Presniakov and Sofia Kovach, the
School participants had an opportunity to learn about the new system of electronic declarations.
Their second day in the school the participants spent with Viktor Taran – “Conflict of Interests: Basic Concept, Effective
Laws”, Andriy Kukharuk “Prevention and Regulation of Conflict of Interests in Governmental Authorities: Practical Use,
Analysis of Court Practice”, Mykola Khavroniuk – “Administrative and Criminal Responsibility for Corruption Offenses”,
and Yaroslav Yurchyshyn “How To Organize an Advocacy Campaign?”
During the third day of the School, the participants together with Oleksandra Ustibova and Tata Peklun practiced
working with media and – together with Iryna Kushnir – discussed where is the limit of publicity and privacy in
governmental officials.
