Mother Theresa’s ANYWAY prayer
People are often unreasonable, illogical, and self-centered; forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of
selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and true enemies; succeed anyway. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you; be honest and frank anyway. What you spend years building, someone could destroy overnight; build it anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, they may be jealous; be happy anyway. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough; give the world the best you’ve got anyway. You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway.
Breathe in Love,
Exhale Peace.

ANGEL TREE PROGRAM THANKS Each Sunday a new letter of gratitude will be published, written by the inmate, whose family you so generously
supported this Christmas. The difference you made is truly reflected in their heartfelt words of appreciation.
Thanks so much! My daughter loved all the gifts, especially the dolls. You're gift made my family’s Christmas good. My God continue to bless you all with a caring heart to help others. –Clarke Hi, everyone of the Church of Visitation. My name is Terry. I’m writing this letter to thank ya’ll for the gifts that my children received. Angel Tree Program is a blessing from God. I’ve been praying for a blessing and I was worried about my children not having a Christmas because I’m not home to give my babies a Christmas. This is my first time ever getting in trouble and being away from my children. So, it’s been hard for me to deal with. But God has a plan for me and my family. I know this because he sent me a blessing which is the Angel Tree Program. I just can’t explain how much I appreciate what you did for my children. I wasn’t there to see their faces when they opened the gifts, but I got an ear full on the phone and that made my Christmas. I just wanna say thank you to whoever got my children gifts and Natalie, Layla and Angel also thank you for the gifts. When I com home I wanna start my own ministry and be partners with an Angel Tree program to help families and children throughout the world. May God bless you and your family from the Finney Family. “Glory to God in the Heaven, and on Earth, Peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2:14 –Terry.

“SIX LITTLE STORIES”
Once all villagers decided to pray for rain, on the day of prayer all the people gathered, but only one boy came with an umbrella.
That’s FAITH.
When you throw a baby in the air, she laughs because she knows
you will catch her.
That’s TRUST.
Every night we go to bed, without any assurance of being alive the next morning but still we set the alarms to wake up.
That’s HOPE.

SCRIPTURE REFLECTION
COVENANT GOD God and Abraham made a lasting covenant with bodies
broken and eaten by God in bright fire. For us today all of the law and the prophets come to fulfillment in Moses and
Elijah. They point to Jesus who shines as the key to our share in the covenant. By his broken body in the Eucharist we, too, will be transfigured. The divine fire nourishes and changes us into citizens of our homeland in heaven. We eat the Eucharistic
Christ Jesus, who is our passport to heaven. Do we dare take part?
