Assumed Knowledge:
Quantity Adjectives.
Personal Pronouns.
Vocabulary about food, technology. Sports and healthy life.
Target Language:
Pronoun or Noun + auxiliary verb (would) + like + verb in ing + quantifier + noun.
Express preferences.
Anticipated Problems:…..and Solutions:
Ss might not remember the use of quantifiers and expressions about preferences.
Before the presentation T explains structures and T clarifies any possible Ss doubt.
Aids: Flash cards, worksheets, markers, radio, CDs, video from YouTube whiteboard etc.

-T writes the objective of the class then T shows a video with the birthday’s song. T asks what come to Ss’ mind at the moment of listening the song, so Ss deduce the topic of the class.
- T shows some flashcards with the common stuff that is commonly used at birthday parties.
- T tells students a short story about a friend and how some friends of him plan his birthday party.
T writes some examples on the whiteboard.
- Then T explains to the Ss that they are going to practice only one “I would like..........
- T shows some examples with this expression asking Ss for some information; also T encourages Ss to give their own examples.
- Second, T links some sentences in order to remember expressions of preference with some quantifiers. For example:
Ok boys and girl, In which special day people sing this song?
Let see some stuff that people use at birthday parties.
Ok, boys and girl. Let me tell you a story I have a friend, whose birthday is coming…
She would like to buy some balloons.
I would like to prepare some sandwiches.
Today we are going to practice only one, I would like..........
Ok, let see I would like buying ice-cream

- T checks the answers.
- T encourages students to create and write at least 6 own sentences using expressions for preferences and quantifiers.
- T checks the sentences.
Finally T asks Ss to plan a birthday party in pairs for their younger sister or brother, nephew or niece etc. Using similar sentences they completed in the worksheet.
-T asks Ss to check for more vocabulary in their dictionaries.
