What if my child cannot log on during the times listed?
Attendance and grades will be taken regularly. Please do everything in your power to make sure your child can log on during the correct times. If you absolutely cannot meet these expectations or your child has a conflict (such as a doctor’s appointment, etc.), please reach out to your classroom teacher at your earliest convenience.

Encore - Live instruction from our amazing Band, Orchestra, Theatre, Art, Music, and
Media teachers!
Morning Meeting - An amazing way to start our day off GREAT! Getting to know each
other while also learning about empathy, compassion, emotions and how to be the best
us.
Math Lesson - Live instruction on the next big math topic via zoom.
Math Group 1, 2 and 3 - A combination of live instruction and independent learning.
Your child will meet with the teacher for 20 of the 60 minutes, and will work on
perfecting their skills through independent practice and games during the other 40
minutes.
EL Module - Live reading instruction via zoom.
Skills Group 1, 2 and 3 - A combination of live instruction and independent learning.
Your child will meet with the teacher for 20 of the 60 minutes, and will work on
perfecting their phonics, spelling, reading and writing skills during the other 40 minutes.
Science/Social Studies - 30 minutes of live science or social studies instruction.
Instruction type will alternate weeks.
First Two Weeks will be...Because this is a very unique situation and teaching through screens is new to the children and the teachers, we are going to take the first two weeks to teach the following:
● What does zooming look and feel like on a daily basis?● Learning and practicing what zoom etiquette should be.● How to properly use the iPad while in session with the
teacher● Playing content (math, reading, etc.) games through zoom.● Building social and emotional relationships.● Exploring what Canvas looks like and how assignments etc.
will be submitted.
Zoom expectations
● Your child is expected to log on daily and participate in all class activities. ● Attendance will be taken daily.
● Work will be graded and is expected to be completed.
Please make sure your child has a distraction free, well lit location to participate in zoom meetings. Headphones are recommended but not required.
