and negative pressures shall be separated by a forward slash and shall be followed by consistent uni6 ofmeasurement.

n) When thermal sü'ess-relief is perfomed to shell openings (nozzles, manholes, flush-type co¡nections, and flush-

type cleanout fmings) in accordance with the requ¡remenB of 5.7.4, or when apPl¡ed to an entire tank, the following

markings shall be used.

1) Use"SRl'when only flush-type cleanout fmings and flush-§pe shell connecüons have been themally stress-

rel¡eved.

2) Use "SR2" when thermal stress-rel¡ef has been perfomed on flush-type cleanout fittings, flush-type shell

connect¡ons and all shell open¡ngs NPS 12 and greater in s¡ze in shell plates (or ¡nsert plates) of Groups I

through lllA.

3) Use "SR3" when thermal stress-relief has been performed on flush-type cleanout fitting§, flush-type shell

connections and all shell open¡ngs greater than NPS 2 in. s¡ze in shell plates (or insert plates) of Groups lV

through Vl.

4) Use "SR4" when üermal súess-relief has been performed on all flush-qpe cleanod flüings, flush-type shell

connections and all shell openings.

5) Use'SR5" when the completed tank, includ¡ng all shell open¡ngs and attachments, has been thermally stress-

relieved as a special requirement by the Purchaser.

6) Use "NONE' when thermal stress-rel¡ef has not been performed on any tank appurtenances.

o) The Purchaser's tank number.

i0.1.2 The nameplate shall be attached to the tank shell adjacent to a manhole or to a manhole reinforcing plate

¡mrnediately above a manhole. A nameplate that ¡s placed directly on the shell plate or re¡nforcing.Plate shall be

anached bi continuous welding or bralng all around the nameplate. A nameplate that ¡s riveted or otherwise

permanenüy attached to an auxiliary plate óf fenous mater¡al shall be anached to the tank shell plate or re¡nforc¡ng

plate by conünuous weld¡ng. The nameplate shall be of corosion-resistant rietal.

lo.l.3 When a tank is fabr¡cated and erected by a s¡ngle organ¡zat¡on, that organizaüon's name shall appear on the

narnedate as both fabr¡cator and erector.

lo,l.4 When a tank ¡s fabricated by one organizaüon and erected by another, the nanres of both organizations shall

appear on the nameplate, of separate nameplates shall be applied by mch.

10.2 Divis¡on of Responsibility

Unless otherw¡se agreed upon, when a tank ¡s fabricated by one Manufacturer and erected by another, the erectionManufacturer shall be considered as hav¡ng the pr¡mary responsibility. The erecüon Manufacturer shall make certa¡nthat the materials used ¡n the fabrication of the components and in the construction of the tank are in accordance withall applicable requirements.

10.3 Cert¡ficat¡on

The Manufacturer shall cert¡fy to the Purchaser, by a letter such as that shown in Figure 10.2, that the tank has beenconstructed ¡n accordance with the appl¡cable requirements of this standard. An as-bualt data sheet in accordancew¡th Annex L shall be attached to the certif¡cat¡on letter.

NOTE At the Purchaser's requet or at the erect¡on Manufaclurer's discret¡on, additional pen¡nent ¡nformation may be shown onthe nameplate, and the s¡ze of the nameplate may be increased proport¡onately.
