3. Listen and be polite
• Humans are able to think and practice
restraint over their urges.
• When I’m talking you should not be
talking
• Basic courtesy
• Have a question, raise your hand and
wait
• Come ready to learn, do your part at
home
• Time is short, if I have to discipline you,
we will not finish syllabus
• You will still sit for the exam because Mr
Koh has set the papers already
• When I’m in the class, courtesy
applies
• Stand, look in front and greet me
• Forget what happened earlier in the
day, we start afresh
• Once you are seated, your notebook
and writing materials should be out
• Once I’m set up we start
• School policy is ‘NO USE OF
HANDPHONES IN CLASS’
• Applies to all of you, not me
•Teachers have to be contacted by our
HODS and Office at times
•Should I need to answer a call, I will step
out of the class for a minute
•Continue writing notes or do a quick
review of the last 2 pages in your
notebook
• Toilet breaks are a strict no during
Geography Lessons.
• We don’t have enough curriculum
time
• Go before school, during recess and

• Only situation where you should ask
is if you are at risk of embarrassing
yourself
• If we are going to a different location,
you need to bring what equipment I
tell you and quickly evacuate from
your room
• Move fast, switch off all the lights and
fans
• Queue up outside the class
• Move quickly and quietly
• Don’t wander off, I’ll have to hold your
hands otherwise
• Don’t follow rules?
• Restriction of privileges.

the school permanently
