Atlas Standard Sprung Construction

Atlas Helical Sprung Construction

Our more luxurious ‘Helical Sprung’ construction with the addition of a sprung back to provide extra comfort. The helical springs in the base offer a natural fit that contours and supports the body.

Atlas Pocket Sprung Construction

Our latest design, ‘Pocket Sprung’ construction. The base is assembled using a pocketed spring construction — similar to those found inside some mattresses. This further improves comfort, whilst offering good ergonomic support.

Atlas Platform Base Construction

This frame construction utilises a rigid base in place of any springs or webbing. The platform base is covered in foam to suit, and then upholstered. Platform base units can often run at a more economical price, though some comfort will be compromised.

Atlas Webbed Cushion Construction

These units are typically composed of our rigid frames, with a strong elasticated webbing that forms a lattice-like weave where the springs would usually sit.

About Atlas Frame ConstructionsWe offer a range of frame constructions to suit the requirements of any project. Our Standard Sprung Seating frame delivers uncompromising comfort through expertly crafted ergonomic design, and comes with a 10 year frame guarantee as standard.

This frame has been tested BS EN 16139: 2013 - Test Level 2, and uses serpentine type springs; robust, reliable, and built to last.

We Also Offer, Where RequiredOur alternative frame constructions range from Platform Base through to the more luxurious Helical Sprung systems.

Foam, feather-filled or pocket sprung cushions are then placed on top of the webbing for the user to sit on.
