It’s arrived. The SEAT Ibiza SC: our new line

of sport couture inspired by the runway and

the highway. Contemporary and dynamic, the

SC was custom-made for those who want to

make an impression on the road and off.

When we designed the SC, we wanted to build

a car that was sleek and slim fi tting but also

big on features and detail. A car that could please

fashion gurus and performance lovers equally.

What we ended up with was a bold masterpiece

of street fashion, perfect in more ways than one:

in its styling and detail but also in performance

and safety. A unique combination of striking

good looks with cutting-edge technology.

A car that’s stunning from the inside out. But

don’t take our word for it, try one on for size

– especially the new Ibiza SC Bocanegra,

Cupra or FR. It’s all you need to look the part

this season.

SPORTY NEVER LOOKED SHARPER.

We wanted the Ibiza SC to make a statement. To

stand out from the crowd. To do this, we had

to start with what the eye sees first. We knew

the exterior had to be fresh and rewarding, to

look at from every angle. Every line had to be

sculpted for a reason and fl ow effortlessly with

the car as a whole. And that’s exactly what

we achieved. Stand in front of the Ibiza SC and

you’ll see its distinctive shape is formed

from lines that start from the new, chromed

grille*. The lines then dash around the front

over the wings, upholding the shape of the car

right to the rear. They transmit a confident,

urban attitude. One look and you’ll realise

that the SC has a dynamic presence on the

road. This is one car that’s all dressed up with

places to go.

AN EXTERIOR THAT CLASHES WITH BORING.

The Ibiza SC is our way of improving the look of

our roads and highways. And with so many

well-crafted exterior features, it’s never been

easier to dress up any route you may fi nd

yourself driving along.

Have a look at the chromed grille frame, the

optional bi-xenon front headlights with

Adaptive Front-lighting System (AFS). Pure

style. This sleek little number even sports a rear

spoiler with third brake light, and specially

designed rear lights that command your

attention. Now zoom in to the door handles,

side mirrors and bumpers, all perfectly

matching the body colour*. And while we’re

talking colour, the Ibiza SC is available in this

bold Galia Blue^ paint from the Custom Palette.

* S and S A/C have black plastic mirrors and handles. FR, Cupra and

Cupra Bocanegra models feature customary silver or black painted door mirrors.

AN INTERIOR THAT FITS YOU LIKE A GLOVE.

Every stitch in a fi nely tailored suit serves a

purpose. Likewise, you’ll fi nd that every detail

in the Ibiza SC has its place. The multi-functional

and stylish dashboards of the Ecomotive

version and above are supplied with a brand

new board computer that lets you know

average speed, fuel consumption, and time

spent on the road. Air conditioning or

automatic climate control makes for the

perfect driving temperature. Then there’s the

upholstery: fully adjustable seats with logos

stitched into them on the FR, Cupra and

Bocanegra models. You’ll feel as unique as

you do comfortable. And a collapsible and

height adjustable steering column lets you stay

in control.

SPORTINESS YOU CAN FEEL.

The Ibiza SC is sportswear that’s tailored to

you and every corner of the road. Even though

you may feel relaxed in the driver’s seat,

rest assured, the SC won’t let anything get

between you and the thrill of the drive. Our

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) monitors

information from the steering wheel, tyres,

brakes and accelerator, making adjustments

to ensure safety and accuracy with every turn.

All models with 100PS and above also gain our

revolutionary XDS system when specifi ed with

ESP* - an electronic differential lock, which

gives you better transfer of power when

accelerating out of a corner. The newest

generation Anti-lock Braking System (ABS)

and Traction Control System (TCS) let you stay

fully in control.

* FR, Cupra and Bocanegra versions are equipped with ESP and XDS as standard

Now that the Ibiza SC is out, performance is

offi cially ‘in’ this season. And at the heart of

the SC, you’ll fi nd a range of engines to suit

any taste and stir up some real emotion.

Choose from six economical petrol engines, or

two frugal yet potent turbo diesel powerplants.

The petrol options range from a 1.2 60PS

engine through to a highly effi cient 1.4 TSI

twin-charged 180PS engine married to a

7-speed DSG gearbox with F1-style paddles.

Diesel buyers can now choose from the all-new

Ibiza SC 1.4 TDI 80PS, available as the

Ecomotive with CO2 emissions of just

98g/km, or the sporty 2.0 TDI 143PS Common

Rail engine. Whichever engine you decide is

right for you, they all offer the perfect torque

and pace to give the Ibiza SC a lively feel.

There’s the promise of a responsive driving

experience, every time. So, put your foot to the

Every fashion classic worth talking about has

something that makes it unique. It could be the

texture of the fabric or the way it’s sewn. In the

case of the Ibiza SC, it’s things like smart looking

front headlights with ‘Coming Home Function’1,

a little feature that keeps your lights on after

you turn the car off so you’re not fumbling

for your house keys – a major faux pas. You

also have the option of upgrading to Bi-xenon2

headlights with AFS (Adaptive Front-lighting

System). These actually follow the direction

of the steering wheel, offering a wider fi eld of

FASHION FORWARD FEATURES.

providing illumination where you need it most.

The front fog lights, with cornering function, train themselves in the direction that the

car is turning. (standard on SE versions and above)

to add a soundtrack to your fashion show, the

AUX-in and an optional iPod® compatible USB

port make it easy to rock out. You can adjust

the 6* speaker stereo system by hardly lifting a

fi nger thanks to the standard steering column

controls. And optional integrated Bluetooth^

technology lets you operate your mobile by

voice command - just in case you need to tell

someone you’re running late. Fashionably late,

that is.

Style and safety go hand in hand, so we’ve

equipped the Ibiza SC with the most

advanced safety features. In fact, the Ibiza

range has already earned a prestigious 5 Star

Euro NCAP. That’s no small feat. The list of

safety features includes front head and chest

airbags for driver and passenger, tyre pressure

warning indicator, and Hill Hold Control – a

handy feature that delays the brake for 2

seconds so you can take off on hills like a pro*.

And because preventing an accident is the best

safety feature of all, the SC comes equipped

with the newest generation Electronic

Stability Programme (ESP)* and Traction

Control System (TCS). These systems monitor

information from the steering wheel, tyres, brakes

and accelerator, making adjustments when

necessary, letting you stay in the perfect arc.

And keep your cool.

SEAT INFORMATION

consequently, controls and some items of equipment may differ or not appear on UK models.

The SEAT Warranty

Three-year Warranty. All new SEATs registered in the UK come with a three year/60,000 miles warranty, which protects your car against the failure of most mechanical and electrical components due to manufacturing defects. This comprises a two-year manufacturer’s warrantywith unlimited mileage plus a further one-year/60,000 (whichever is soonest) Dealer Warranty. Should the mileage exceed 60,000 miles within the first two years, the manufacturer’s two-year warranty will still be valid. If an additional warranty for subsequent years or higher mileage is desired, it may be purchased from an authorised SEAT dealer or repairer, however, this additional warranty must be purchased before the mileage reaches 60,000. Cover is subject to the car being serviced and maintained according to the manufacturer’s technical guidelines. Full details of the three-year warranty are available from your SEAT dealer or repairer.

Three-year Paint Warranty. The paintwork of the Ibiza SC is covered against manufacturing defects for a period of three years. Naturally, the Ibiza SC must be cared for in compliance with the operating instructions which will be found in your vehicle handbook. Please consult your authorised SEAT dealer or repairer for full warranty details.

Twelve-year Body Protection Warranty. The internal body sections and panels of the Ibiza SC are covered against rusting through from the inside for a period of twelve years. Naturally, the Ibiza SC must be cared for in compliance with the

operating instructions which will be found in your vehicle handbook. Please consult your authorised SEAT dealer or repairer for full warranty details.

SEAT Parts Warranty. SEAT parts and accessories supplied after new vehicle delivery are covered by our 24 months parts warranty.

SEAT Accessories. Every accessory is designed specifically for SEAT and is fully tested to our high quality standards. All accessories unless otherwise stated come with a two year warranty, extended to three years when purchased and fitted prior to delivery of a brand new vehicle, and what’s more, they can be fitted by SEAT approved technicians.

Specifications. Specifications for the Ibiza SC refer to Model Year 2010. While SEAT makes every effort to make sure that specifications are accurate at time of going to press (06/10), you should always check details with your SEAT dealer as there may have been changes in view of SEAT’s policy of continuous product improvement. The right is reserved to change specification and colour at any time. The information in this brochure can therefore be given as guidance only.

SEAT Assistance (including European cover). Any new SEAT purchased and registered in the UK from an authorised SEAT dealer, is covered free by SEAT Assistance (including European cover) for roadside repairs or recovery to an authorised repairer for a term of two years. Your member of the SEAT authorised network will ensure that all servicing and repairs are carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
