Season's Greetings! 2010 «David and Jimmie Ruth Lee Medellin, Colombia, Assemblies of God Churches Plant 81 Churches Medellin, Colombia, with missionary, Kevin Elder (back right), local pastors When we arrived in Medellin in 1978 for our first term as mis- sionaries, there were three Assemblies of God churches and a night Bible school. The Lord enabled us to plant six new churches and add more classes and students in the Bible school. In December 1980, World Missions asked us to help with Spanish television and later to become the founding di- rector of International Media Ministries (lMM)- Recently mis- sionary Kevin Elder invited us to speak at the Bible school graduation. There were as many in the graduating class as there were in the whole school when we were in Medellin. What a joy to visit with pastors and see the growth of the church! The nine churches we left have planted 81 additional churches with thousands in attendance each week. Your in- vestment in missions is paying eternal dividends! Thank You For Your Faithfulness We are appointed missionaries and continue to depend on you for our monthly support. Every commitment, no matter the amount is very important to us. We, along with most mission- aries, have felt the effects of the economy. We are counting on your offerings and continuing monthly support. During the holiday season, we pause to express our deepest appreciation for your partnership! Cuban Assemblies of God Media Center

General Superintendent HectorHunter with David Lee

Cuban Assemblies of God HQ

David Lee, Supt. Hunter, David LeeJr., Israel Matos, Isaac Hunter, andGerald Jackson with new audio-visual equipment for Media Center.

In 1959, the Cuban Assemblies of God had 92 churches. Some years later, thegovernment approved the development of neighborhood house churches thatwould be within walking distance of people's homes. This would eliminate gov-ernment expense for extra buses and break up large crowds traveling tochurches. The number of regular and house churches numbers in the thou-sands. The Fellowship has been faced with the challenge of training leaders forthese places of worship. Many of the house churches have several hundredmembers. The church is without a formal Bible school and some pastors do nothave books to study the Word; paper and educational materials are scarce.

Several years ago, the government began relaxing building restrictions. Myson, David, and I became invoived with the CutJan Assemblies of God when - --~--Vida Abundante church in Havana was being built. General SuperintendentHector Hunter asked us to help with audio and video for the church. At thattime, Fellowship leaders also envisioned building an Assemblies of God head-quarters with a media center where Bible instructors would record classes thatcould be disbursed throughout the Fellowship on CDs and videos.

When the Fellowship received approval to construct the headquarters build-ing, Superintendent Hunter asked David, Jr., Gerald Jackson and me to designand equip the media center. With the help of many teams, the government-approved building is almost ready to be occupied. The media center within thebuilding also has government approval and is complete except for painting, airconditioning and equipment.

During our October 1-9visit to Cuba, David Jr., Gerald Jackson and I were ableto provide two audiovisual edit suites for the new center. For two days DavidJr. provided orientation on the new equipment to the team that will managethe media center. He will continue to guide the installation of the equipmentand train the team. Training teams in Latin America are also working to providetraining materials for the Cuban church.

The Media Center will enable the church to provide education materials to theworkers and to be prepared for future opportunities to proclaim the Gospel tothe Cuban people.

Your financial support is making this ministry possible.Thank you for partnering with us!
